Hi everyone. I wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to sleep apnea treatment. Had my first sleepover at the hospital last month and went again last night. Used the CPAP last night, and what a difference even one night made!

I can't wait to get my machine at home so I can start to remember what a decent night of sleep means!!

Welcome to Apnea Board, David.

Glad to hear that CPAP did the trick for you! If you have any issues once you get your machine home, be sure to let us know and we'll do our best to help.

Hi Dave - a CPAP pressure of 10 cm is not that bad. I'm at 14 cm, and I know of a lot of people above 16 - I think Carl's pressure is really high - I think he just hooks up to an industrial air compressor from Menards or something. ;) You're fortunate that it's not higher - if you'd been prescribed a higher pressure, you might have more issues with mask leakage.

Good luck and let us know how the first night goes!

Good news, Supe. I lost some weight and tweaked my machine/mask setup to the point where I've gotten my average pressure down to about 15 cm.

So I've relocated the dual-stage 175 psi compressor to the garage where it belongs!

Thanks for the help guys.

The first night went very well, I woke up easily this morning and I feel much more alert than I have in quite some time. No signs of daytime sleepiness.

I'm not sure how much of this is mental and how much is physical, just gonna have to see how the rest of the week goes.

Once again, thank you for having this forum, its nice to be able to speak to people going through the same situation.
