Title: Diet and Central Sleep Apnea
Description: Dietary factor in Cental Apnea

Hello
I have suffered from occasional central sleep apnea on and off for about 10 years, I am now 44.

I do some weight training and recently bought a quantity of "whey" protein powders to aid on recovery and muscle building. After only 3 days of taking this supplement (2x 30g per day with fruit juice) I started waking in the night holding my breath. This had ot happened for a number of years. I stopped the supplement and the problem went away. Not wanting to waste the protein I started taking it again..... after 1 day I woke up in the night again breathless !

The powder is free from flavouring and additives so is just pure whey protein.

Just thought this might be helpfull for other sufferers and may enable them to eliminate something from their diet which might be the cause of the problems.

The details of the whey protein can be found here

Thanks

I'm mildly allergic to dairy, especially dairy whey. It's not good stuff. As many people that are allergic to wheat gluten are allergic to whey.

I stupidly ate some mac & cheese just two days after my septum/UPPP surgery. Big mistake! Created mucus and made me queezy/restless.
