Title: Mirage Swift question

I have been using Cpap for about a year. I am finally @ the point where I will not sleep w/o it. The correct pressure, the Mirage swift mask, & pap pillow all made the difference.
The only thing "aside from not having to use Cpap" is the elbow on the Mirage Swift mask. It does swivel in a 360 degree circle but, if I turn over it is hard for it to swivel to the correct position easily. Can/does/will Resmed make this elbow on a ball that fully swivels in any position? It would/will make a huge difference. Any one agree? Brian

Hi Brian - I also use the Swift and I'm very happy with it. You're right, it does produce a problem, due to the pivot point not being a "universal" ball joint. I'm not aware that Resmed is planning to implement that type of a joint at this point. I think the major problem would be trying to get an elbow & ball universal joint to seal properly without major air leaks.

I've found that sometimes, it's best to use the velcro strap they give you to strap it up to the side of your head - it seems to be the best position for me. Sort of like this picture below... and then once the hose is coming out near the top of your head, if you have a headboard on your bed, you can route the tubing through it or over it, so as you toss & turn during the night, the hose doesn't get all tangled up:

I agree. Try sleeping w/ that tube on the side of your face. Did you say road rash. If I get time I will call their tech team and try. Glad I am not alone. I will try the wall hook or nuse. Thanks. Brian
