Does anyone know when the CPAP therapy is most productive? Is it the first sleep of the night or the wee hrs of the morning?
My situation is when I go to bed I am exhausted and tolerate the mask very well and go to sleep right away which around 10 pm, I am finding that I am waking up around 1 to 2 am for whatever reason and have to take the mask off, I feel good at this point like I could get up and start my day which is crazy at that time LOL and then I have a real hard time tolerating the mask after that so I sleep without for a few hrs then put it back on around 4ish till I get up between 6 to 7 am depends on when my 6 yr old wakes me. This morning I feel not so great, tired and not very alert. My first night using the machine was Wed Dec 13th and in the morning I felt GREAT. Is this all normal while my body adjusts to everything. Thanks again for all your input I sure do appreciate this.

You will find as you continue to use the mask that each night you will be able to wear it longer and longer until you reach the full night. Don't expect miracles up front, if you can wear it for a couple hours the first few nights you are doing well.
I wore the mask for several months even before receiving the machine as I could not get through the 2nd sleep study to set the cpap pressure because I could not sleep with the mask (and pressure) on. I would just take it off and toss it on the floor and not even know I'd taken it off until I wake the following morning and find it on the floor.
I now were it happily every night without any difficulties. Most adjust quicker than I but I can say that if you stick with it, your machine and mask will become your friend :-)
