Title: Removing mask
Description: Removing mask overnight unknowingly

I am newly diagnosed (June) and continually remove my mask sometime during the night without knowing. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Welcome to Apnea Board, Critter.

I was hoping one of our other members might have some more information for you.

I originally suffered from this problem. I remember one sleep tech in particular scolding me during a sleep study for stripping my mask off without releasing the straps properly. The funny thing was, I had no memory of removing it at all.

But in my case it just went away after a while. I think it was all about desensitization, and there's no question that I'm about as comfortable now with CPAP as I could be. In fact, I feel funny without it.

Good luck! Carl

I kept removing my mask when I couldn't breathe thru my nose. I now have a full face mask
