keesvv,
CPAP does take time to adjust, perhaps as much as 5-6 months until you're totally comfortable with it (if that ever occurs)!
But you shouldn't be sleepy after being awake for only 2 hours. Something's wrong there. Perhaps your mask is leaking? Perhaps you're not at the right pressure? Are you drinking caffienated drinks? What are you doing on the days right before you sleep poorly? Have you looked at all other causes?
Some people report that after CPAP begins to work, your body says to your brain... hey this sleep stuff is pretty cool... I think I'll ask for more of it (whether or not you've been awake for only 2 hours). It does take some time for your body to adjust to truely good sleep, especially if you haven't had a good night's sleep in years and years.
Mayalso be signs of some other issue.... I use my Auto Cpap religiously and usually I sleep well. But now and again, my blood sugar jumps high early in the mornings... When that happens I experience much the same type of feeling... not tired just really heavy and lethargic.... like all your energy has been sapped out of you...
Talk to your doctor about Type 2 Diabetes... you might find yourself suprised...
nearly 6 million Americans have it and dont even know it. Also could be signs of other problems.... talk to you doctor about it.
