high school, otherwise known as one hell of a heartbreak, and one heck of a good time. life in odessa isn't much different. You've got the kids cut from all sorts of cloths, the nerds, the jocks, the cheerleaders. It's like that everywhere though, right? Oh yeah, and football, it's pretty much the biggest deal this side of the mississippi. Texas football is pretty much life, high school football is looked upon practically like the superbowl. Every Friday night, the stands are packed with kids from every group. The few who don't like football can probably be picked out of a crowd.
the football team is practically worshipped by their fellow students. and the cheerleaders, well they are so pretty, pretty and witty and gay, for lack of a better phrase. the football supporters out-number the rest of them basically at 10:1. don't like football? eh, oh that's okay there is always something else to entertain you on friday nights. but it's high school, you go, you leave, you get on with life. but for now...
