The occupants of the Newmark Treatment Center are completely unaware that they are being treated for their “incurable” disasters. No wait, they don’t have incurable disasters, they are the incurable disaster. They’re the kids in school who don’t show up half the time because they have court dates, or have gone into rehab, or are so drunk that they can’t walk in a straight line. The patients here are uninformed, and unaware that they are currently attending school inside a Treatment Center. Some would say that it’s a bit over board, going so far as to not tell the kids, but we say it’s better that way. If you know the teenagers in today’s society, you’ll know that they are extremely stubborn. They won’t do anything unless they feel like it. And most kids don’t feel like going to a rehabilitation center. The kids’ parents, foster parents, guardians, or whomever send them away to us, Newmark Treatment Center for Intolerable Children. (Only that’s not what the kids think we’re called.) And we take them in, and treat them to the best of our ability. *ignorance
Undercover we’re Newmark School of Arts & Sciences, a high school for the terribly gifted young ones, who are misunderstood at their original school. We got “majors” in every subject available, but our most common group is the Arts. We’re not exactly sure why, but it’s definitely the biggest program in the school. Of our student body, we have fuckups, alcoholics, anorexics, sex addicts, and drug addicts, suicidal, you name it, and we’ve got ‘em. Our student body is relatively high energized. (In other words, there are fights almost every day, and the teachers are constantly sending students to the principal. Not that it has any difference on them.)*the plan
We treat them undercover, so they unknowingly go along with it. They sign up for all of their “required classes”, which include a therapy session. This therapy session is explained to them that it’s to help them gain the correct mind set for whatever subjects their best at. The kids go along with it swimmingly enough, I’ve heard complaints, but no one seems suspicious, yet. It’s a great plan, until something or someone goes wrong.
