Life these past few days had gone by in a whirring blur, and in fact, Xenos couldn't remember anything she did for the life of her... Anything besides sit around and look less calm and more upset and depressed than usual. Xenos had tried doing what Red had told her, not hanging onto Zatenc's death like that, that the coconut male didn't deserve her tears... But he did. It was her fault he was dead. If she had not been born none of the bad things that happened to the people she knew would probably have never happened... That was because most of the things were her fault.
<P>
White paws silently walked along, like in slow motion, Xenos felt like the things around her were whirring past, even though she was going unusually slow today... More so than usual. Eyes glazed over with an unreadable expression, the white female continued on, and without thinking led herself to the very place she had been avoiding for days.... Zatenc's grave... Though, he had been eaten and had decayed quickly for now all that was left was bones and very, <i>very</i> little flesh. Appalled by the sight, Xenos's eyes widened a considerable bit, tears jumping to them... She turned and ran, ran far, <i>far</i> away from there.
<p>
Eventually running back to the general vicinity of her den, Xenos's mind flashed with the images of Zatenc's death... No. No one should have ever loved her. No on was supposed to get hurt because of her. No one was supposed to care. Casting a glance over her shoulder, Xenos continued to walk. Where? She didn't know... Or care for that matter... She just wanted to get away from all of them... To get away from all of the crap everyone else was doing.. To leave...
<p>
Xenos's eyes widened at her own thought... To leave the pack? For how long? Where would she go? Who would- No! She needed a break... She would disappear on a temporary leave... Red wouldn't even notice, the packmembers might on account of there being no one to sooth Red, but Red wouldn't notice. Hell, maybe the pack wouldn't either. Maybe they were better off without her. Besides... Xenos had never been more terrified of Red than she was now in her entire life! Slowly and carefully Xenos made her way out of the pack borders... White paws disappearing from the soil of the Shadowlands.
<p>
The outside world... Xenos had never realized until now that she had never been outside the pack, her mother had been a packmember when her litter was born... It was eerie, being in such an unfamiliar place among such unfamiliar surroundings. It was eerie that she didn't know anyone outside of the pack. Well, she knew <i>of</i> people but that was different from knowing them. Right?
<p>
The autumn wind whipped at her face as the walked along the bank of a seemingly violent- that was an understatement- river... This must have been the Reel River. Interesting. So she'd passed the cliffs and not noticed? That was odd... The quick moving waters flung themselves at the side of the bank, as if reaching out to grab her and drag her into the depths to drown... A death suitable for only those who would be forgotten, but she only continued to walk, so what if the River swept her away, who would care?

The autumn weather was nice, the wind had calmed and the sun shown slightly through the clouds, casting down enough light to see, but not enough to blind someone. The leaves swayed in the gentle breezes and the storm's qualms had drifted away, leaving an almost happy day. I say almost because, in fact, not all was right on the banks of the Reel River; a small pup, a bright red collar strapped 'round his neck. Lying there unconscious on his side, curled around himself, he started coughing and sputtering harshly.
<p>
Suddenly fine, Lilium, also known as Lilli to those few who know him, woke with a jolt. Jerking up right from his side and landing on his haunches, light toffee brown eyes glanced around uncertainly. Where was he? How did he get here? What the crap was going on?! All of these however would only be answered when he stopped freaking out and used his brain.
<p>
Ceasing his erratic movements, a thought dawned on the small brown pup. He was in the <i>wild</i>. Sudden panic gripped him again. He couldn't be in the wild, he was too young, what would he do...?! He'd die that's what he'd do! The pup was gone in an instant, trying to get as much distance from himself and the slightly more raging river now than ever before... That's when it all came flooding back to him.
<p>
<i>There he was, minding his own business when Mio's father walks up to him, says something in that funny human language as he usually did, and picked him up roughly by the collar... This wasn't like him, usually, he'd show Lilli the leash and lead him places on that, but this time was-</i> All though in Lilli's head stopped as he remembered what he'd seen...
<p>
<i>There was Mio, lying on a table, cables and wires and tubes connected her to the machines on the walls. Her face and arms and her chest were all a mangled bloody mess, and her leg looked like it had been... Forcibly ripped from her body... The machine making the beeping noises suddenly started making the noises more frequently and louder... Something... Something wasn't right. The people in all white started freaking out and running around, screaming things that Lilli didn't understand... Mio's mom started crying as the machine started making the beep noise again. But it was different... This time, it only made one, loud, long beep.</i>
<p>
Lilli's feet had stopped and he burst into sobs... Her father had thrown him into the river. Apparently a huge had gotten loose from it's pen and attacked Mio because she smelled of her father. <font color=#00B2EB><b>"Mio..."</b></font> The wind was whipping now, slashing out at the small pup... He should've died when he had the chance, he should've let the river kill him.
<p>
Getting off his bum, he ran back into the direction of the river, ignoring the wind ripping at his face and body, threatening to force him to break into tears of not only emotional, but physical pain. His paws finally reached a soft dirt bank, and into the air he yelled: <font color=#00B2EB><b>"I hate you! I hate you so much! Why did you leave me?! How could you Mio?! I-I hate you!"</b></font> He yelled out of hurt and out of pain... No puppy should have to endure that.
<p>
Small limbs pushed him forward, towards the river, and as he reached the dark waters, he turned, huffed, stuck out his nose and began to walk along its banks. No longer thinking of how he should have died, Lilli once again felt almost like his normal self.
<p>
Now only a blur of brown moving at a break-neck pace along the river, Lilli was laughing and racing the water... Loosing, but racing none-the-less. His small limbs pushed him out of harm's way when the had to, and sometimes they pushed him into it, just for the fun of it. For the rush.... For the adrenaline. For the... Well, Fun!
<p>
Suddenly, during his running, Lilli thought he smelled something... Something vaguely familiar. Like... Like a... Like a wolf! Somehow his small limbs found the strength to run even faster and soon he was closing in on a white and tannish gray figure, excited, his tail began to wag, shaking his entire rear end with it, making him look like he was doing some demented form of dancing.
<p>
Suddenly, he realized that the wolf was at his side now, and he skidded to a slow and walked beside her, for there was no mistaking a female- that would have been rude, and Lilli wasn't rude- he smiled up friendlily at her. <font color=#00B2EB><b>"Hiya! I'm Lilium, my friends call me Lilli, what's your name? Do you want to be my friend? Wouldn't that be cool? I'm new here, I was just abandoned by some nasty ol' humans and need someone to stay with, what about you, eh?"</b></font> This sudden barrage of questions just sputtered out of him as he spoke this on one breath and immediately after began to pant heavily. Note to self: Never run and then say a million things in one breath.
<p>
Still looking up at the female, who he had no idea was a runaway alpha, he walked along with her. He was happy to be with someone else for a little while... Especially after what had happened... Toffee eyes blinked innumerable times, waiting for her answers...

Thinking about nothing, mind blank, moving forward. Xenos wouldn't have noticed if she fell off of a cliff right now... But no, the weather calmed, the River quieted, but that wasn't what caught her attention... No, she had heard a voice picked up by the wind... Mio? Who was Mio and who hated her? Her answers were soon answered as blue eyes locked onto a small pup, fairly far away... He- for you could tell by the voice- started running... Towards her...
<p>
If Xenos had not stepped out of his path as he came barreling down on her, then the pup surely would have crashed into her.. Then it began... A barrage of questions was thrown her way and she stared wide eyes, surprised he could still breath... Shortly after, they began walking again... He had suddenly quieted... One quick glance at him told her all she needed... Her mood was lifted slightly...
<p>
<font color=#4F6370><b>"Well, Lilium, my name is Xenos. I will surely be your friend, since I have hardly any, and would be honored to take you under my wing..."</font color></b> She said, glancing down at the small pup with a smile on her face. She felt surprisingly cheerful around this small bundle of fur. But he didn't know she was the alpha, and he didn't know that she was a disgrace, but she could pretend, just for him, just for a little while... But there was one <i>slight</i> problem...
<p>
Xenos had no idea where the crap she was.
<p>
If this had been an anime, Xenos surely would have scratched her head and sweat-dropped, for she had no idea where she was, or how to get home... She really hoped the pack wouldn't miss her too much now... The small pup at her side, she continued along the River's bank, a serene silence had fallen over them, save for the panting of the small pup...
<p>
Red would surely find them, and scold her for both picking up the pup and for running off like that... But that would only be out of concern for his pack... Suddenly, something bright caught Xenos's eye... <font color=#4F6370><b>"Lilli, if I may call you that... Uhm... What's that around your neck...?"</font color></b> She asked, gesturing towards the collar... Hopefully they could get that off...

The thing of the stealth seemed to have been a power-up he had accidentaly picked the day when he killed Zatenc, as today he just couldn't keep himself silent. First it had been that rock earlier this morning, the one that he had tripped over, making so much noise that some of the subordinate members had come to ask him if he was alright. Then, he had noticed Xenos' absence, yeah, he wasn't blind enough like not to notice the empty den at the side of his own. So he had decided to come and look for her...
<br><br>
To keep her from visiting the rotting corpse of that stupid wolf in order to give herself a reason for which to be depressed through all of the week --more depressed than usual, that is--, the Alpha had placed a couple guards on the way there, and this morning when he noticed they both were asleep, he got so angry he almost killed them both so they would make company to good 'ol Zatenc. Ha, good thing they could run fast, though...
<br><br>
Then, he had noticed that Xenos had definitely been there too, as her scent could definitely be felt beneath that horrid stech of the dead thing. Ugh, Red would surely have someone throw that thing to the river later on... Or else. So, Red had been his usual clumsy and bad-tempered self as he tracked the Alphess down, with his head down to the floor, sniffing, and in his face a completely determined look.
<br><br>
Only when the pack would go in an excursion to the Open Fields in order to hunt down prey had Xenos been out of the Shadowlands, but she had definitely never been this far in the outlands by herself, so the little, dopey wolf was surely lost by now. The thought of Xenos whimpering alone in the dark made Red sigh. Surely she would think of herself unworthy enough like to release an unworthy howl, unworthy even for the wind, so the other wolves to finally spot her unworthy self before she would suffer an unworthy death or something like that. She'd never learn, or would she?
<br><br>
Crick, crack, crunch, Red went, unintentionally stepping in every single dry little stick lying around the forest woods. It was true, he was among the largest wolves in all of the valley, but it also iwas true that he was among the clumsyest, and the most rustic. Pride was among his greatest weaknesses too, and instead of saying it bluntly: "I am clumsy! I can't help it!", Red would have claimed that these idotic branches crawled around the forest grounds and under his paw before he moved them; and that was the reason for which he couldn't stalk anything without being discovered... It was all the Evil Spirit's fault, the Stone of Agony's fault. His gait almost sounded as careless and clumsy as a human's, though of course, it was much, much quieter, since he didn't have to wear these ridiculous things the humans called 'boots' on his feet. Well, and at least his feet didn't do that -bleep- clicking noise unlike Lament's.
<br><br>
The scent he was following finally seemed to take a definite route, instead of just waddling from here to there, like somebody drunk and lost among the trees, left behind by the pack and trying in vain to catch up with them; coming into a dead end and an impassable path one after the other. And that route was the untamed path that lead to that savage river. The trees around there were terribly dense, and the sudden change of lighting between the completely different enviroment of the Shadowlands to the loosely-spaced trees that stood around the river's bank was sudden. Yet it was nothing to surprise Red, much less to marvel him... He had been around here, threaded this very path all too many times for that.
<br><br>
<i>"Oh, no!"</i> Red then thought, as he recognized the path taking to ferocious river - she wouldn't try to kill herself again... Or would she? She wouldn't try to throw herself in the Reel River, to be carried by the raging waters to a sure death, right? But the track he had been following had been so strange! What if she had eaten something she shouldn't and was hallucinating and thought the river was a nice field of flowers or what not?!
<br><br>
Red wasn't normally a worry-warth, but there were so many things that could happen to that silly wolf... It was his job to protect her, and, and... Argh! If she had comitted suicide or something stupid like that he would be so mad that he would KILL HER! And the weird thing she did with her eyes that calmed him wouldn't save him this time... Oh, no.
<br><br>
Suddenly breaking into a full run, Red just hoped to arrive there in time and before anything bad could happen to Xenos... Because maybe he even secretly loved her, even though he had never and probably never would demonstrate it to her... No that would have been to risky, what if... Maybe, she didn't feel the same way for him? Perhaps she couldn't be able of doing that, as nobody was able of doing that to the all-mighty Red, but it was still too risky nevertheless.
<br><br>
Red's gait was powerful and slow, heavy and tiring, he had never been good at this of speed, of endurance, or of any kind of skill that would have been required to do some hunting. He was good at power, at strategy, and at fighting, but that was about it...
<br><br>
Finally, the mighty River came into view, but Xenos was nowhere in sight. Panting heavily, the Alpha stopped, his paws producing a sound reminiscent of an elphant stepping on a peanut as even more dried leaves and branches cracked under his massive weight. Where was she? Where was she? His mind kept questioning as his brown-red eyes scanned the horizon in search of the Alphess' lanky silhouette.
<br><br>
He sniffed around between heavy breaths and sensed her near, yet he couldn't see her anywhere. Looking around, he started to move again, though this time he only walked around. She was around here and he didn't want to miss her by having been running around like a retarded pup. PUP?! Finally between some thin branches, the Artic wolf managed to see the wolf he had been looking for, and right at her side stood a little pup!
<br><br>
Now, that couldn't be hers, or could it? No, it had to be adopted... But, adopted? Oh, dear, don't tell me that Xenos would suddenly get this strange idea of adopting every single mutt she happened to come across... Red mumbled something under his breath before disappearing between the trees, taking an alternate route and re-appearing right in front of them two, small leaves and branches crunching at every step. He kept himself from panting then, and his wide chest simply rose and fell slightly faster than it normally did. Without a word, Red's severe eyes demanded a proper explanation from Xenos.</p></font></table></table></center>[/dohtml]

The wind spiraled around them, flinging leaves in their path, but Lilli didn't seem to care... In fact, he was attempting to catch some of them. But as he looked up smiling at Xenos, everything seemed to calm down... The once raging river began to slow, the whipping wind ceased and became a swirling breeze, and her eyes... What was she doing? Calming down the entire world? Who could do that?!
<P>
Xenos... That was a pretty name, a pretty name for a pretty person! Perfect! And to top it off, he had a new friend! Today was amazing. His panting ceased as they continued to walk at a constant and steady pace, every thing was going great, until she asked about his collar... <font color=#00B2EB><b>"Oh, that... That's called a collar, humans put it on their dogs... They only gave me one because M... Mio liked me so much, and wanted to keep me..."</b></font> His voice dropped, from happy and cheerful, to a little sad and downcast... the air seemed to tense.. Until it decided to become more serene as he looked up at her again... Her eyes... What did they do to people?!
<p>
Cracking twigs and smashing leaves we- Wait... Wha? Lilli stared at their feet, neither of them were stepping one- HOLY COW! Out of nowhere a HUGE white wolf leaped out at them. Who was he? Why was he here? What did he want?
<P>
<font color=#00B2EB><B>"Hiya, I'm Lilium, if you're my friend then you can call me Lilli"</b></font> he gestured towards Xenos, <font color=#00B2EB><b>"And this is Xenos, she's my new friend, I just met her here, what's your name?"</b></font> His smile never left his face, he was looking up at Red, acting as if he wasn't terrified of the large wolf... Which he kinda was...
<p>
The large male with brown-red eyes stared at them as if expecting something, and every time the male moved, Lilli's small body would find itself further pushed down onto the ground and further under Xenos... Like she was his mom... Yeah... Mom. That's what he'd call her, she'd be his new mom.
<p>
The wind became more chilling, more biting, as toffee eyes stared up, terrified, at the large white male... The male seemed so strong, and he made Lilli feel so weak. Xenos's eyes were nowhere to be seen and that made Lilli more nervous then he already was... Whimpering lightly, he nudged Xenos, but still stayed under her...

<BR><BR>
No... The wind brought the sound of cracking leaves and twigs to her ears... But Xenos only knew one person that clumsy... RED! Whipping her head around, she was startled when she bumped into him, thinking he was behind her, not ahead. She backed off sheepishly, tail tucked and ears lowered. Spiralling wind and leaves sent flying. The autumn leaves had painted the lands with color... But right now, it seemed that the only color fleeing from the leaves was red... Blood red...
<p>
Muttering incoherent apologies, Xenos backed up further, surely Red was furious at her... And surely he would stay furious until she explained herself... To both of them... That was, until Lilium spoke out... <font color=#2E0854>"No! Lilli... L-let me handle this..."</font> She looked from Red to Lilli, and vice versa... She'd explain herself to Lilli first... <font color=#2E0854>"Lilli, this is Red. Red is the alpha, or leader, of the Pack right over those few hills and beyond this thin forest.... I... I am Xenos, I am Red's mate, I am also... Leader of the Pack,"</font> she turned her gray-blue gave towards Red, <font color=#2E0854>"Red, this is Lilium, he washed up on the riverbank and found me... I've... I've agreed to take care of him... Since he has no family."</font> When she finished, she finished with an air of commanding, she had <i>told</i> Red something, not asked him.
<p>
Stance suddenly becoming more alpha like, Xenos held her shoulders and tail high, ears perked to attention- <font color=#2E0854>"He's mine and I'm not giving him up! He's got no family so I'm going to adopt him!"</font> That was surely the loudest anyone had ever heard her speak, and such a commanding tone. Of course, she was referring to Lilli.
<p>
Blue eyes twinkling with surprise and happiness, she smiled, genuinely. The sky was suddenly becoming very dark, the last of the Sun's rays- by now it was just a sinking red orb, lazily sulking into the sunset- swept away the last traces of warmth as the cold night engulfed them... Red could kill them both now, and there would be no evidence.. He could dump them in the river and say Xenos had killed herself. But no, said female now stood tall in front of her mate, acting like she was the more dominant one... Acting, my friend, is the key word...
<p>
Stars danced across the sky, wind swept over the Earth, a chilling yet beautiful sight to behold. Xenos's creamy fur seemed to glow somewhat in the pale waning moon's light. Tomorrow night would be a 'New Moon', a moonless night would be splendid. Beautiful stars etched themselves into the depths of Xenos's eyes, making her blue-gray more of a blue-silver, a shining blue-silver.
<p>
Now unbothered by Red, Xenos waited for his reply... If he made one and didn't just kill her and Lilli right there on the spot, that is...

Red was as stiff as a wolf statue carved on solid ice. His blood-red eyes displaying not a trace of kindness or forgiveness; instead being a threatening sight comparable to a blood-stained sword. Red was a mad wolf. A dangerous wolf. And every aspect of his madness was beginning to filter through his ice-cold glare.
<br><br>
Xenos was beginning to get used to this of directly facing him, and it was needless to say Red didn't like this. The Artic wolf had lived with the idea of that there was nothing fiercer than him in these forests, and so it would remain. He wouldn't accept Xenos as something more dominant than him, he was the Alpha, and his word was final!
<br><br>
Xeno's act had come out rather convincing, though, and since he had decided to come here and save her, not kill her, the great Alphen controlled his rage for once. His red eyes closed and his ears rotated slightly to a side. He would've left it at that if it weren't for that strange... Smell. Something didn't smell right in this patch of the forest, and Red was determined to find out what it was.
<br><br>
He snorted once, and it sounded like a stubborn horse clashing its will against their even more stubborn master's, but instead of meaning the acceptation of defeat, Red was just trying to identify that strange smell... Which he was certain he had already sensed somewhere before.
<br><br>
His search took him towards the tiny and pitiful... Pup, but more specifically, towards the thing he had wrapped around his neck. Red sniffed at the collar and snorted again, this time with apprehension, as his rustic head rose once more to its place high above his shoulders.
<br><br>
<font color=gray><b>"Xenos..."</b></font> Red spoke-- No, growled. He had finally remembered where had he sensed this strange smell before. Humans. This pup stunk of humans. Should have he not been so mad at Xenos right now, and he would have paused to scan his surroundings, in case there was a hunter hiding behind the bushes - this wasn't right.
<br><br>
<font color=gray><b>"You can't keep him. It'd be too dangerous. You better head back and leave him where you found him."</b></font> He commanded.

At first the small brown and grayish pup was amazed that Xenos, his new friend, could be the alphess of a pack! She didn't seem like the type who was <i>alphess</i>, let alone a subordinate! But what came next frightened him... The large white male- apparently named Red- growled. That was the most frightening noise Lilli had ever heard.
<p>
When Red said that Xenos had to get rid of him, Lilli's eyes widend. <font color=#00b2eb><b>"You're just as bad as those filthy humans you monster! You- you're no better than them! But no, that hypocrate of a wolf Red had decided that he couldn't stay with them because Big Bad Red didn't like humans.. Lilli found a small patch of Earth and sat down, ignoring the feeling that he shouldn't have done that..
<p>
Blue eyes scanned the area, no wolves in sight... He slowly made his way over to a tree and layed down in the shadow, tears welling up in his eyes.

Crack. Splinter.
<br>
The world... Was cracking. Visibility was diminishing as Xenos's eyes widend. The wider, the more craks and splinters. Until. <b>Crash. Shatter.</b> It all came crashing down, her whole world. No one would ever love her, and she would never be allowed to love anyone. Blue eyes blazed with hate and anger as she stepped forward, this was so unlike her. But no... Unlike Red, who had his wits about him, Xenos was running on nothing but hate and anger and anguish. Growling- no roaring at Red, she took another step forward... So unbecoming of her.
<p>
<font color=#2E0854><b>"Leave me alone,"</b></font> her voice was hurt, but still dripping with betrayel and malice, <font color=#2e0854><b>"You'll never love me, you never did- And now you want me to suffer as much as you want Rick to... No. I won't let you!"</font></b> She didn't try and attack him, he'd kill her. She didn't try and tell him any thing else, he wouldn't listen. She ran. She turned and ran after Lilli, she couldn't- Wouldn't leave him alone in the cold world, he woudn't end up like her!
<p>
Kicking dirt up into Red's face as she turned and sprinted, following Lilli's scent. A whirl of fur passed by Red's vision as she passed, the wind coming off of her retreating form more chilling than the autumn's.
<p>
It didn't take long to catch up with Lilium, in fact, even Xenos was surprised at her own speed. Her heart melted when she lay down next to the crying pup, muttering soft, incoherent words to soothe him. Curling herself around him, she was ready for Red's attack... She was covering Lilli from view... Red wouldn't get him.

Red snarled at the pup and his foolish bravery. <i>No one</i> yelled at him, <i>no one</i> was above of him-- especially not a foolish pup! He was the alpha here, and these that did not like it would have to talk to his fangs...
<br><br>
His growl faded when Xenos appeared before him. His teeth were no longer bared, but his crimson eyes flashed with the most absolute of rages. A big battle was happening inside of Red now; a beast struggled against its chains, and a thousand keepers were trying to stop it from escaping. For the moment, they were succeeding, but this only made the beast's anger grow.
<br><br>
Xenos snarled at him, and the beast fought with even more fury, chains clicking and cracking broken; but Red remained immobile. After facing him, she started to reproach him about the things she always whined about, but her tone was different.
<br><br>
She snarled and left, but Red didn't go after her. The artic wolf cursed and snarled, the beast being let loose. He bit a branch and crushed it, throwing the splintered bits to a side. Then he closed his eyes, apparently feeling better.
<br><br>
He wouldn't have been able of holding the beast for much longer... If Xenos became accustomed to this, he would one day end up killing her. He would've liked to just leave things like that, but this matter was important.
<br><br>
Apparently regaining his composure, Red followed after Xenos. His tail was lowered at about the height of his heels for once in a while, and his brown-red eyes no longer seemed so enraged.
<br><br>
Popping up from among the trees, Red watched as Xenos had curled around Lilium protectively. He sighed, and then spoke:
<br><br>
<font color=red>"Xenos... Xenos, you must understand. The humans must have thrown him away for a reason; what if it is a trap?
<br><br>
"Xenos, if you get us both killed, what do you think will happen to the pack?
<br><br>
"It is not always about you or me, Xenos. The pack almost got destroyed by Man once, and I will not allow it to happen again."</font> And having said this, Red stepped into the clearing, dangerously close to the two.

<BR><BR>
She couldn’t believe what she’d done… She’d stood up to Red again, this was the second or third time! She knew she should go and apologize, but that was futile… How could she have been so stupid. The small body she was wrapped around stirred, now sleeping happily… But what happened next was so very… Unexpected…
<p>
Out of the trees came Red, looking almost sorry and speaking in a soft tone. She knew what the humans had done, every one in the Pack- even the Rebels- knew what the humans had done. But the wolves had also wronged the humans, and Xenos knew that, but she was terrified to tell Red, lest she be punished.
<p>
She felt his presence… He was so close.. So very, very close… It wasn’t comfortable, nothing would ever be comfortable again… <font color=#2e0854><b>”I know how mad at me you must be, and I know that humans are dangerous… But they abandoned him, not the other way around, they wouldn’t come get him even if he wanted them too… He won’t go back… Red, I know what would happen to the Pack if you died, but if I died, it wouldn’t matter… I’m taking some time to relax and think things over…”</font></b> She told him. She told him about her.. Uhm… ‘Vacation’, yes that’s it, her vacation.
<p>
She knew he would be disappointed in her, but that didn’t really matter right now. She was tired and her head hurt… She needed to sleep, curling tighter around Lilium, she knew she couldn’t go to sleep with Red around, he’d take Lilli away.. So she forced herself to stay awake. <font color=#2e0854><b>”So tired…”</font></b>

<font color=red>"Don't say that!"</font> Red interrupted her. <font color=red>"If anything happened to you... I... I'd kill the entire pack."</font> He said, showing his teeth out of frustration. He was tired sick of her whining about how she meant nothing and she didn't matter-- of course she mattered, darn it! Or else she wouldn't have been made an Alphess. She may have not been a purebred, she may have not been perfect, she may have not been half what Red would have wanted; but she was herself, and Red would never change her by anything.
<br><br>
He loved her, but he couldn't tell her. If she rejected him... He didn't know what he would do. He might go into Rick's very packlands and fight all of her pack; erasing the rebels off the map, but surely killing himself in the attempt... Leaving the path clear for Xenos and whoever else she would like to spend her life with. But no, that wouldn't happen; Red would leave everything with the benefit of the doubt. Still, doubt was such a terrible feeling...<br><br>Again was the beast struggling against its chains.
<br><br>
Red growled as she kept speaking about the pup. That pup was a threat; He smelled like Man, and Man could kill a wolf with just a single shot of their sticks that roared like thunder. He had seen what they could do, and he would never forget it. Yet he could see it in her blue eyes... That pup was what she most wanted.
<br><br>
What to do? Should he please her and put the entire pack into danger? Or should he hold her firmly by the scruff of her neck and take her back home? He knew he was insane; his mind slipping from his grasp as time went by. If he didn't let her have what she wanted, she could decide to leave him; and without anyone to stop him, the whole pack would die. Growing increasingly paranoid with each time the blue-eyed female stood up to him, Red decided he didn't have a choice.
<br><br>
<font color=red>"Alright."</font> Red said gruffly.
<br><br>
<font color=red>"You may keep him."</font> But hadn't he finished his reluctant sentence when his red eyes hardened back to their cold, dominant state.
<br><br>
Without moving, he almost glared at Xenos, telling her to stand up so they could head back home.
