| `____ tides of darkness 2174 - 2219 The Third World War. The majority of the war had taken place in Europe and North America, leaving Asia, Africa, and South America almost completely untouched. Even Russia stayed as far out of the war as possible and didn't suffer much loss. More powerful weapons created by leading countries became the cause of worldwide devastation. North America and Europe were littered with atomic bombs and biological weaponry. Some weapons had become so precise, a biological agent could target and kill different age groups, people with specific genetic geographical backgrounds, and genders. There were several bombs let off that killed all those between the ages of 18 and 29, leaving vast areas with the men and women who could shape a new world. Starting in 2174, all European countries became enveloped in a war. Over resources, control of land, money disputes, and military influence in the world. For the first five years the war was contained in Europe and no weapons of mass destruction were used. The first use of a WMD was by an Asian country, of which still has not been determined. It hit the middle of Berlin and destroyed everything. This day, the 29th of March 2179, marked the end of soldier to soldier battle as the main fight in the war: it soon became a war based on who could obliterate the most first. Small hits were made, but most countries came to their senses. There was a twenty year hiatus where no country made a nuclear or biological move. And it was 2210 when it began again with a much more catastrophic effect..Germany, Spain, France, and Portugal were completely destroyed, and England and Italy were soon to fall. Though an Asian country made the first big move in 2179, only a few bombs hit China, Japan, Mongolia, India, and the two Koreas. Something had to happen. This all occurred between 2210 and 2216. In 2217, North American countries the U.S. and Canada joined the fight. In two years the war was ended, but not because someone had won. All countries had suffered far too many losses. Though Canada was hit less, North America was littered with craters and dead cities. A new world order was needed, and on July 14th, 2219, all involved countries decided to stop the war. There was no declared winner. Many people moved out of North America and Europe into Asia and South America. A city was set up in China that was declared the North American City. All citizens consisted of misplaced Canadians and Americans who had been refugees in different countries for years. Soon the city grew to millions, and many Europeans began making it their home. It was named Malien City. Hundreds of millions of people had lost their lives in the war, and most of the countries involved in the war were uninhabitable. Malien City provided hope for those who had survived and provided a friendship between the Asian countries and the leaders of the 'Dead Countries'. A new country was being formed. One country that would consist of all other nations. The Earth would become one. Just about every country agreed, from Peru to Japan, Egypt to Afghanistan, and Italy to Korea. It would soon come to be. 2256 It is near. The New Earth will soon be formed and there are ancient, powerful creatures lurking in the shadows watching every moment. They were there during the war, they witnessed the blood and suffering accompanied with the stupidity of the human race. Though they had once been human, they had become diseases. Diseases that were on the brink of war between themselves. Vampires, the immortal creatures of the night and Lycanthropes, the animal instincts of human nature fused with canine blood. These were the underground current of the supernatural, the beings that had survived all wars and all battles only to retreat back to their shadows and caves. They want this no longer. Vampires want to reign over the humans as they should have since the birth of their kind and Lycans want to stop their enemy from gaining control by getting there first. An all out war is soon to come and Earth has yet to recover from its last. Though not equipped with nuclear weapons and chemicals to sear the flesh, these creatures hold their abnormal abilities high and will use them to cut down the other. The Six, a system of higher covens, has decided now is the time to strike; and they've already begun. They are slaughtering werewolves at each sighting and slowly seeping into the human governments that are so eager for change. The elders of these covens dismiss the younger ones and strive for greatness. The young children of the night are still showing their hatred with the killings of Lycans. Though not directly in league, there is still an understanding between vampires. Kill the Dogs. The Lycans. Killing the vampires has become a duty, one that will not be allowed to be skipped out on. Thousands of new recruits are made each year, and each one realizes the consequences of letting the vampires waltz in and take power. They have a deep connection to humans, and refuse to see them under the rule of the bloodsuckers. Bringing themselves together in gangs or Packs, they are governed by the higher Pack, which consists of the oldest living lycans. They all work as a team, every last one loyal to the cause. Stop the Vampires. Save the humans. In Malien City, it is no different. The war rages here too. Some humans have noticed, but most are utterly oblivious to whats going on in the city streets while they sleep beside their loved ones. However, there are organizations that have known of these creatures since the dawn of their existence, and they've hunted and killed both Vampires and Lycans. They've set up shop in Malien, and they won't be taken down easily. Each group has created a base in the city. The Vampires have taken the downtown/business sector, the Lycans control the outskirts of the city where few live, and the Hunters have an underground fortress that digs deep into the earth. All well protected. Will you join the vampires in their power hungry quest for domination? Will you join the ranks of the lycan warriors and do whatever it takes to stop your enemy from reaching its goal? Or will you fight both sides and join the Hunters to protect your race? The Tides are shifting, and peace cannot last much longer. The war has already begun, but what will the outcome be? |
