Who will you stand with?
This is Seaside Heights, California. A seemingly perfect costal town right outside of Los Angeles. Seaside is a tiny town and most of it’s residents have lived there their whole lives. It’s the kind of town where everyone knows pretty much everything about everyone and where reputation seems to be everything especially to the teens of Seaside.
Seaside High School is your typical California high school, strange school lunches, lots of students, and teachers who march to the beat of their own drum however what’s not so typical about it is how divided the students are. There are 5 major groups when it comes to SHS:
The In Crowd:
As in any high school SHS has it’s popular students, the kids that seem to have everything, good looks, great clothes, wealthy parents, and in some cases athletic talent. These are the students that almost everyone wants to be like in someway and that always tend to get exactly what they want. The leader of this group is Blaise Clark, the queen bee, and she’s always ruled the school with her ability to know just how to work anyone, yet she’s not the girl that everyone thinks she is.
The Brains:
School wouldn’t be school without the kids that excel in it, which is where the smart kids come in. They tend to be a little on the nerdy side but you probably won’t find anyone more loyal to each other than these kids. The smartest of these is Casey Hanson, who has the highest GPA in Seaside and despite the fact that she constantly gets underestimated and ignored is probably one of the most genuine people at SHS.
The Artists:
Everyone knows the kids so driven by their art that it is almost their entire life, these are them. Theatre kids, art freaks, music junkies, and pretty much anyone with a pension for artistic expression all seem to stick together in this eclectic group which all started with Noah Burke, he’s got dreams of being and actor and the uncanny ability to keep anyone and everyone around him laughing.
The Rebels:
In every school there are the kids who like to push boundaries and buttons, the non-conformists who always seem to be out to prove something. These are them, the kids who are always getting attention from everyone around them for everything that they do wrong. The worst of these is Chase Hayes, who pretty much has the bad boy act down to a tee. Though whether anyone chooses to see it or not there’s a lot more to him, and this entire group than meets the eye.
The Table Girls:
The name came from the tendency to dance on tables at parties, however it’s a lot better than calling these girls what most people do, which is sluts. These are the girls partying all night, sleeping all day, and getting as much attention from guys as they possibly can. The leader of this group is Kaylee Brooke who is the most outrageous of them all despite the fact that she can find a way to get along with just about anyone.
Of course there are people outside the groups, those who haven’t or won’t find a place yet however, almost everyone has found a group and stuck to it. But what do these five groups have in common? Well, that’s probably the best kept secret in Seaside Heights itself. What the 5 groups have in common are their leaders, Blaise, Noah, Casey, Chase, and Kaylee are actually closer than most people would assume. The five of them have grown up together and have been best friends since they could talk. However, after high school hit their 5 very different personalities pulled them in different directions and once the cliques started the 5 of them ended up keeping their friendship a secret, always hanging away from the prying eyes of their peers.
However, what’s to happen when word gets out that the 5 groups aren’t as different as everyone thought? It’s never been ok for the groups to clash before, will they choose their friendship or their status and in either case what will happen to the rest of the students of Seaside High when the people they thought they knew the best were really different people entirely? The question really is, will this be a new chapter in SHS or will they always remain such a beautiful disaster?
