King Amenemhat IV has just passed onto the Underworld. He had lived a peaceful life and ruled for many years. Although he ruled well without violence, he never gave birth to a male heir. The new king of Egypt is his daughter, Sobekneferu, and it is year 1807 B.C.E.

And although she has been raised in the way of royalty, not everyone is happy with the new arrangements. She is the first queen pharaoh, and while she seems to have all the necessary training, the priests of the Temple of Ma’at are sure the balance of the world has tilted.

However, nothing has arisen of yet, but this unsteady peace can only last for so long. Sobekneferu seems to favor the peasants more than the merchants and nobility, and that does not suit with them. It is only a matter of time before danger arises for the new queen pharaoh. Will she be ready? Will Egypt be ready? Will the gods be ready?
