Well, just wanted to post a HUGE Merry Christmas... Happy Hanukkah... to all out there in Toyland!
What's everyone up to? It must be busy around your homes with all the festivities coming our way. Be safe while traveling and pop on and tell us what fun stuff you've done and what cool gifts you received or have given to others when you can!
Biggest hugs to all! Happy Holidays and all the best for a healthy and happy 2006! :frostywink

The festivities began last night. Jon started this new tradition where the children get to open their gifts from each other on Christmas Eve. Also, Jon, myself and my mom got to open all of our gifts and then we let each of the children pick one gift...any one gift from us to open as well. So, this morning, I had time to have coffee and run into town for eggs and get fully dressed and Jon's been making food all day and the kids haven't asked us even once to open the rest of their gifts or to see what Santa brought them. :P I like this new tradition. The kids are playing with the stuff they opened last night...quietly and in their own rooms! Ha! Anyway, it's still happening and I'll update later.
What are you all doing???

Aw! That sounds wonderful, Melanie...and peaceful for you! :D I am so glad.
We spent the whole day yesterday running around seeing family and today we have spent the entire day together - nice and quietly. I've been cooking a turkey all day long and making the sides. We opened our gifts to one another this morning and we just finished our dinner a few minutes ago.
I plan on taking Asia for a walk and just hanging out, and probably chatting with my mom and sister on the phone since we are so far away from one another. We may watch a movie or something but all in all, we'll just be vegetating here.
Tomorrow we'll probably go shopping for a little while and spend some Christmas money that we were given and since it's my birthday we may go out for lunch or something. I haven't decided yet but I'll be opening my bday gifts in the morning tomorrow *wink* ANYway... I hope everyone is having a great day today. I love hearing what you are all up to, btw :D This is a fun thread *big grin*
Again, Merry Christmas everyone :frostywink

I'd been sick all week (flubug) that started to clear up Friday.
Christmas Eve morning Nick called me to tell me Merry Christmas & to see what I was doing at 2pm cause someone was gonna bring my gift from him to me then. I was still recovering from being sick. I felt weak & decided I'd be at home instead of my Aunt Belinda's Christmas thing (1st year ever at her place). I decided to lay on the couch and watch A Walk in the Clouds (love that movie), when Nick called again saying that his secret delivery person (I assumed to be our friend Eddie) was gonna be here around 3pm.
Towards the end of the movie, I was crying lol, and I saw someone coming to the door. I got up and ran to open it. It was NICK! I was bawling you guys so badly I couldn't see. I just hugged him for dear life & said, "You liar! I had a feeling it was you but didn't wanna be disappointed." He told me that the night before, he set his alarm for 3am just in case he wanted to hit the road (took him 8hrs). He said he was sorry that he didn't have a gift for me because his lil extra $$ went toward the trip, and I cried even more saying that that was ALL I wanted! :D
Needless to say, Christmas was fantastic! We got to spend it together & with both of our families. Who could ask for more?! ^_^

Shan! That sounds just like something that would happen in a movie!! And I really thought that things like that don't happen in reality. Wow, I'm sort of jealous, but so very Happy that you got just what (and who) you wanted for the holiday! Congratulations on that. :D

OMG Joyce I love LOVE the pics of your little babies opening up gifts! Your pics are always the best, I swear! :love
And Shan, that was the sweetest little story! I am so happy that you had such a great holiday and that you were able to spend it with the ones you love. :)
Elia, I know exactly what manga you are talking about when you mentioned "Peach". I haven't read it yet but did see it in the section I frequent in the bookstore. Is it a Tokyo Pop publication. I usually gravitate towards them :)
Heehee...Cindie, I see you up there! :hug Just wanted to say hi and that I miss chatting with you! *hugs*
*hugs all around* I am so happy you all had a nice time. :D
