Title: New to 80s Toyland
Description: RBRox81's Intro
RainbowBriteRox81 - October 7, 2005 11:09 PM (GMT)
Hello all. My name is Shanna *Shan*. I'm 24 & I reside in SW Louisiana. I'm new to the forum. I found out about it through the Rainbowland forum for rainbowbrite.net, of which I am a member. As you can tell by my user name, I adore RB. Some of my fave childhood toys would include the RB "sing-along" records/books, Cabbage Patch Kids, Care Bears, He-Man & She-Ra, & "Casey" the talking robot, which played my cassette "sing-alongs" for the Get-Along Gang.
I really like what I've seen so far here. Feel free to ask questions or PM me. :D

Hello and welcome to this berry good site.
I used to watch Rainbow Brite for the Starlight horse since I loved anything that has to do with unicorns and ponies when I was younger.I'm a huge My Little Pony :mlp When I was little,I had 3 boxfuls of ponies and unicorns when I was little.I even still have the unicorn statue from when I was in Kindergarden I won for a prize at Fun World (Chuck E Cheese type place in my area).
I also remember watcing Unico (made me cry :nono ) and the Last Unicorn which were my favorites too.
Other 80s cartoons I like are Strawberry Shortcake,Glo-Friends,Hello Kitty,Maple Town,and much more. ;)
RainbowBriteRox81 - October 12, 2005 04:48 AM (GMT)
I've always loved horses, unicorns, & Pegasus. Starlite is my fave. And I loved MLP, too, especially the movie. I was addicted to it and RB & the Star Stealer. Oh, and I loved the first Care Bears movie. :hkhappy

Hi Shanna! WELCOME! I am so happy you found us.
I love Rainbow Brite...my favorite was Indigo and Hammy and she was also the only doll that I had. My little sister had ALL the rest of the gang. lol
I also love He-man and She-ra. I have a lot of She-ra toys now. I just wish I had the room to display them! lol
Some of my fondest memories are watching all the great cartoons... like Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake, Get Along Gang, He-Man, and She-ra. My favorite She-ra character was always Frosta. :)
RainbowBriteRox81 - October 12, 2005 09:03 PM (GMT)
:woo :thx for the enthusiastic welcome, Berryblue! My favorites were She-Ra, RB, Starlight, Buddy Blue, & Shy Violet. I am really really loving it here. There are SO MANY great & friendly people around. I feel at home already. B) :D
Berryblue - October 13, 2005 03:34 PM (GMT)
I am so happy you feel that way! We want everyone to be as comfortable as possible here.
Buddy Blue and Shy Violet are really cute! I don't know how I chose ONE character when I was little because now I have a hard time! LOL
Do you have any She-ra characters that you like better than others?
And btw, continue on posting as often as you like. I love reading your posts :D

:hello
Greetings and welcome aboard.I myself have a small collection of rainbow brite.I have rainbow brite, baby brite, starlite, the white sprite, the blue sprite, and the yellow doll[I forgot her name] <_< I don't really collect,I just got them off ebay really cheap  I collected them when I was little.Baby brite was my fav.
RainbowBriteRox81 - October 16, 2005 12:32 AM (GMT)
Oh wildfire, I love your glittery SSC! She's so pretty. And thanks for the welcome!
As far as collecting goes, I have a few random stuffed animals/dolls saved from my childhood, but other than that, I don't really collect much outside of a few t-shirts and whatever I find interesting at Hot Topic. ^_^
The white sprite is Twink, while the blue one is Champ. And you have Canary Yellow! :D She's cute, but my favorite girl aside from RB is Shy Violet. She's the most like me.
wildfire - October 16, 2005 12:40 AM (GMT)
oh thanks for the comp. on my signature,it took awhile to get it.berryblue had to help. Thanks for the names of my collection.I would have never guessed them. :hkhappy
RainbowBriteRox81 - October 16, 2005 07:31 PM (GMT)
Well wildfire, the 2 of you did a fantastic job on it. B) And you're welcome about the names :P
Berryblue, do you have pics of your She-Ra collection posted anywhere? I'd like to see it if that'd be ok. I remember getting She-Ra & Spirit as a Christmas gift one year. I brought them with me to my grandma's and somehow with all that was going on, they either got misplaced, or one of my older cousins stole them. I never did figure it out :(
berry elvish - October 20, 2005 02:46 PM (GMT)
Hey, Shan, I really admire that you don't collect much and can just enjoy it all from memories and such! I don't collect RBB either, but when the new retro stuff was released, I did get the four main characters in the 9" size. I always wanted RBB when I was a kid, but I didn't have any. I didn't even get to watch the tv show, I think it was on at the same time something my brother watched was on. We had to take turns with cartoons since our tv time was very limited.
wildfire, that sparkly SS is super cute!! I need to go post on your test thread. ;)
wonderberry - October 20, 2005 03:39 PM (GMT)

Melanie, the funny thing is that I never had any of the RB dolls as a kid. One of my sisters got Rainbow & Twink from her Godmom for Christmas one year though. I'd play with them as often as I could though. ;) I was lucky enough to watch the show growing up, but I remember adoring the movie even more. :P

I came from a family with 7 kids, and I loved having so many brothers and sisters growing up!
