I do alot of research on Anime on-line and I stumbled upon something berry interesting.Wal-Mart sells Anime DVDs for $1.But it's not just Anime, there's something berry special about them.
They are campy, cheesy,Korean knock-offs that were made during the 80s.You guys remember me posting this wayyyyyyy early in the year (January) about this Anime called Dia-Tron 5?.That's one of those Korean knock-off Animes from the 80s.Here's a list of the ones Wal-Mart sells
Defenders of Space-Transformers/Tezuka (Astro Boy creator) knock-off where Inferno (fire truck) is the main role.
Protectors of Universe-Manzinger/Tranzor knock-off where it looks alot like a Gundam 0079 from the frist Gundam Anime.
Space Thunder Kids-Tron knock-off that looks pretty interesting.
Let's not forget......................
Beauty and Warrior,India's answer to Dragonball Z.The characters are heavily influenced by Akira Toriyama (DBZ creator) and the man fighting resembles how Goku fights.
I'd want to get them and have a Bad Anime night with my brother Derryck and some friends when they come home from college.
You can find those DVD's at participating Wal-Mart's in the $1 DVD bins (the ones that have those cheesy B-rated monster flicks, old cartoons etc) near the toy section.
Hey Rollchan!
Sorry about the late reply in the thread...
I haven't seen those titles anywhere the walmart here. :(
However, I just picked up a mohoromatic dvd for 7 bucks.
I was very happy to get that one. I think that comic is a blast.
