Thanks for that link! I'm not too sure about the new Holly Hobbie's look though! She seems sooo different! Guess her clothes are so modern looking!

No, Holly is in the middle, The one on the right could well be the new "Carrie" .

That's because she's the great-great granddaughter of the original Ms. Hobbie.

Fear not, she may be "gone" but she will be far from absent. Listen to the song extracts on Alyson Stoner's website, they give some clues about how the new characters tie in with the old ones.

I wonder what they allure of the New HH is? I mean, how will they market her? They are definitely going to have to do a lot of big marketing to get girls to buy her. She's cute, don't get me wrong, and I adore that she is a natural looking regular kind of girl, so I'd be for buying her for my daughter. But, in this age of Bratz and Trollz and Divas how is HH supposed to even get noticed?

They might well be targeting those who went for the new Strawberry Shortcake, people who want something new and fresh with a slight "Urban" twist but without the harsh, "in your face" attitude which sometimes accompanies that approach.

Also bear in mind that the new kids won't have the limelight all to themselves. Plot details for the new DVD cartoon series are sketchy but it seems that the new Holly goes to visit relatives in the country and stumbles across a " trunk full of memories, from a life long ago", the life in question being that of her Great-Great Grandmother...
