Title: Negative Comment

:afro Yes, I wanted to make a comment since everyone has been so nice here. I know that is not the way it is in "real" life for some of you guys. We only go by typed words which can be misleading if someone is really nice or full of crap.

I'd like to be the first to post a "negative" comment about one of the users (zippercat) I had made a post on another website that I go to about The Get Along Gang items. The rude remark that was made by Zippercat stated that they were not a girl. I myself made the "mistake" stating that I got my info. from a GIRL on another web site that I go to.

Well I would like to apologize that I stated that you were a girl, woman etc. I did not know that. The mistake was just that; a mistake. You didn't need to post such a shi*** comment on a forum that I regularly go to. That was inappropriate.

I would post something about you being a girl, woman, man or beast, but I will bite my keyboard and keep my keys to themselves. Case Closed

Hmmm, child, did you have a transaction with zippercat? I believe this forum is for positive/negative feedback dealing only with a transaction.

Maybe you could have posted this in the Chat section? Mind if we move it? I know we don't have a place for complaints, maybe we need one.

Hi. I mostly assume that toy collectors I meet online are female unless they specifically say they are male. I'm sure you didn't mean to be rude by referring to zippercat as a girl. Some people are easily offended. I don't think it's necessary to post our genders in our introductions but then expext minor misjudgements. If I said I was football fanatic that loves rock music and horoor movies you might assume that I am a man. I am not!
I wouldn't worry too much about it. It was an honest mistake. It's not like you asked an overwight woman when she was due!!!

Ouch! Yeah... now THAT would be offensive.

I think that sometimes it is difficult to read each other's tone via typed words. It seems like a misunderstanding to me :)

It was indeed a misunderstanding! Childofthe80s please accept my apologies, no offence was meant and absolutely none was taken!

For the record, there was no transaction between myself and anyone else on that board. Any dispute of that sort would have been dealt with in private and by the book.

Here is the thread in question. If you read it again, carefully, something at the end of that sentence gives the game away that it was not meant as an insult or a cry of pain. ;)

P.S. There are also a number of links in that post, which many people here might like to try clicking on... :moose
