I know I'm begining to be a pest now but have any of you ever heard of baby doll made in the late 80's to early 90's called newborn baby shivers. It is a babydoll that shivers and stops when you hold her close. She was realistic looking and came in a little yellow dress and a diaper. Please let me know if anyone knows where I can find one. Again thanks for bearing with me. :thx

Hey, Bren,

Did you have this doll? Did she take batteries? Was she a newborn, meaning she didn't have hair or a smiley face? Are you positive she wore a yellow dress?

All of these things would help in my search. :D

I was searching, but sadly I've run out of time today! I felt that I was getting very close too, so I figured I'd post what information I could find here and maybe that will help you in your search. :D

Okay, at first I wasn't clear on what this doll looked like or weather she was a bath time doll or not, so these are some 90's dolls that I found:

L'il Splash 'N Shiver

and then I found this information on a doll called Baby Shivers (just like you said):

INFANT MORTALITY:

Baby Feels So Real "feels like a real baby with soft skin and tiny bones!" What happens when the batteries don't keep on going and going? Imagine the howls of grief when the batteries go and Baby Feels So Dead. Similarly, Baby Shivers vibrates in a perpetual convulsion, mewling "I'm so cold!" The constant complaining of Baby Shivers about a malady for which there is an obvious cure (remove the battery) may have a child prematurely deliberating the issues behind euthanasia.

Here's some advice from someone who found some:
"For those that keep finding my request for a newborn shiver doll please take note: After much of my own searching I found serveral newborn baby shiver dolls. I just recently purchased three of them off eBay. If you have not tried eBay, may I suggest that you do? Be wary of anyone named Jason Lloyd that sells from the UK. If you see a UK dealer listing one with the box, avoid it. Or at the least, check the seller to see if it is him. You'll only loose your money. Oh...and some sellers are not aware that they are listing a shivers doll. They appear like the Berjusa baby doll and with careful questioning, you'll find some never knew the doll would take a battery. Even though the mold is identical, Berjusa will not be stamped on the back of the head of a newborn baby shivers and with careful tilting of the dolls head to the front, they can see Irwin Toy LTD on the upper edge of the dolls head at the neck seperation. Also, with squezzing the belly area they can tell there is something inside it. You have to haunt eBay for them. I have seen them dressed and undressed and missed many auctions as I never bid early. Good luck with your search :) That said. If anyone knows where I could find the battery cap that goes inside the newborn baby shiver doll, I would greatly appreciate knowing! "
