Title: Halloween 80s Style!
Description: Who do you wanna be??

Berryblue - October 19, 2004 03:00 AM (GMT)
OMG I was looking around online and came across this list of Halloween Costumes from the 80s! I actually want to try out the Rainbow Brite one. LOL
The Smurf costume also seems do-able.

Some are just so so funny to reminisce and think about as a costume! Oh man! LOL!! Here are some examples:
QUOTE

Rubic's Cube
Just find the biggest box you can find and put the six different colors on each side.

Metal Head
Big hair, Leather or Jean jacket with Maiden shirt underneath. Tight, usually ripped jeans on the knees. Leather weightlifting gloves that lack the fingers.

Metalhead
Mullet, horrible metal tee-shirt (try AC/DC, Iron Maiden), tight acid wash, ripped up jeans, white nikes maybe hightops... There ya go!

The Dominos Pizza Noid
You can't go wrong dressed in red with a big 'N' on your belly, and of course no Noid costume would be complete without an empty Dominos Pizza box and a sledge hammer.

Boy George
Long hair braided into small sections, white trench coat, funky eye makeup, a rimmed black hat and the ability to gyrate your hips at all times.

Jem (of Jem and the Holograms)
Metallic pink long sleeved shirt (make sure it hangs low but above the knees) hem bottom at a sharp angle (think Gucci)white sparkly tights, metallic pink high heels, huge silver triangle shaped belt with white fringe, long pink hair (as high as you can get it, lotsa pink make-up around the eyes, and don't forget red star earrings. SHOWTIME SYNERGY!!

And of course one of the funniest...

He-Man
Get some fur scraps and strap it around like a diaper. A sword strapped to your back. Go all out and paint your dog w/ tiger stripes and walk around w/ it all night.

These are all so funny!!!
LOL!!

That He-Man one is the best!

Berryblue - October 20, 2004 12:27 AM (GMT)
Heehee! Maybe I can lure my dog with some tasty treats...lol
"ohhhh Maxwell... time to get some tiger stri- err...treats!"
LOL LOL

I found an infant wonder woman costume, so that's what my baby girl is going to be this year! (I'm still too fat to wear mine now!)

Berryblue - October 21, 2004 10:43 PM (GMT)
OMG an baby Wonder Woman!! Oh you will HAVE to show me a pic of that one!!! She is going to look so adorable!

That is so cute! I see that it is rolled up a little at the legs...do you think she might be able to wear it again next year?! That would be so cute, both of you in your WW costumes!!

Berryblue - October 22, 2004 04:34 PM (GMT)
OMG OMG!!!!!! That is sooooooooooooooooooo cute!!!! Now THAT is the cutest baby costume I have ever seen! Thanks for posting that!
What a cutie pie! Wonder Woman! The whole world is waiting for you! LOL

wonderberry - October 22, 2004 04:54 PM (GMT)
thanks! I think she's a cutie, and she got so happy to put it on!!! like mother, like daughter!!!

actually, it's not rolled up on the legs... it's just poofier down there. it fits her PERFECT... so it will not likely fit her next year.... but the pictures can last forever! I wanted Megan to be ww also, so all three of us could be ww together... but she wants to be a vampire, cause her boyfriend (that she is MUCH too young to have!) is going to be a vampire and wants her to match him. oh well.

Berryblue - October 23, 2004 02:45 AM (GMT)
omg that would've been so cute to see you all dressed up as WW :D

If I were to dress up, it would probably be a vampire (vampiress? I dunno) lol
I keep seeing these cool costumes at Walmart... I also like a lot of the witch ones too. LOL There is one witch costume that matches that ornament where it looks like a witch crashed. You know the one where the witch has orange and black tights? Well, there is a witch costume at WM where you were orange and black tights, everything else black and a witch hat with orange long hair attached! LOL!!!

berry elvish - October 23, 2004 03:59 AM (GMT)
LOL!

Cindie, you got to get her another one every year, then!

1u11aby1ambie - October 23, 2004 10:19 AM (GMT)
OMG!!! That's an adorable WW!!! I agree with Melanie that you have to get another one next year!

wonderberry - October 26, 2004 01:28 PM (GMT)
Thanks! I will look again next year, and hopefully find one! I asked Megan why she doesn't want to dress up as something pretty! she says, "I'm pretty every day of the year!" how humble she is! I got her vampiress costume yesterday... nothing great, just a black gown with a cape, and I'll do her makeup for her. That orange and black witch costume sounds great! I just LOVE striped stockings!

Berryblue - October 26, 2004 05:19 PM (GMT)
Yes I agree with the other girls, you should try to get another WW costume for her for next year.

"I'm pretty every day of the year!"

I LOVE this line!! I have seen her pic and she speaks truth!

I love striped stockings too! I recently bought some striped black and gray knee high socks w/ a couple red stripes on the top of each and I am sying to get a pair of striped stockings. lol

wonderberry - October 26, 2004 07:37 PM (GMT)
wow! where do you find them? they only sell them for kids out here... I'm going to buy some of the striped halloween socks at Target for my baby Rain after Halloween, when they're all on clearance!

berry elvish - October 26, 2004 08:30 PM (GMT)
Remember all those stripey socks I bought, Cindie?? I got them online at a place called sock fetish, I think. I was looking everywhere for grey and black striped socks and couldn't find them, then did there. Erin, how cool that you got grey + black too! :D I got a couple of pair of socks that go all the way up my leg! They are so long that I have to bunch them everywhere. I also got knee-high ones and over the knee and two pair of black and white tights. I wish they would have had grey + black though. :D SOCK FETISH and reasonable prices too.

Berryblue - October 27, 2004 01:33 AM (GMT)
I bought my gray and black with the few red stripes at the top knee highs at WM, of all places!! They are thin stripes. I love all kinds of striped ones. I think they may have more in the mall here at a store called bluenotes. I can look around here and see if I see any different colored ones and let you two know what I find. I know they had these really cool arm warmers that were striped and had Hello Kitty on them. OMG I wanted them. lol I have to check back there soon. I haven't been in a while. They also have classic SSC stuff on occasion. They regularly have Care Bear stuff and some others. I saw a pair of Strawberry Shortcake underwear there (the print with her taking a bubble bath). I am dying for a Rainbow Brite shirt or underwear or SOMETHING. LOL

Ah anyway... I will keep you updated on the striped socks and stocking scene here and fill you in on any colors I may find. I recently saw some colored tights at a department store here and was WAY too happy about it! LOL I kept going on and on to Mike saying "look at these colors!!"

wonderberry - October 27, 2004 12:48 PM (GMT)
I really wish they had green and white striped socks so I can make a ssc costume!

yeah, I remember your socks, Mel... unfortunately, the only long socks I have are the wonder woman ones you got me! LOL But I LOVE those! I wear them all the time, with my Underdog Tshirt and Sean laughs at me.

Berryblue - October 27, 2004 03:18 PM (GMT)
LOL I always have my eye out for green and white ones. I would definitely get them if I saw them.

If I ever see those I will definitely let you know!!

Wonder Woman long socks?!?! HOW COOL!!!!!! :D

wonderberry - October 27, 2004 04:33 PM (GMT)
they are really cool! and melanie didn't even tell me she got them for me! I just got a package from her out of the blue, with the ww socks and a ssc license plate cover! she's awesome!

Berryblue - October 27, 2004 05:21 PM (GMT)
Yes I wholeheartedly agree!! She is one of the sweetest people I have ever known

berry elvish - October 27, 2004 06:51 PM (GMT)
Aw, you guys! What comes around goes around...so you both are really sweet too! :cheesecake

berry elvish - December 11, 2004 04:40 AM (GMT)
Hey ya'll remember when we were talking about those 80's costumes with the 'heads' and you wore them on your head and the costume part was on your body? Well, Jon mentioned that he recalled that they were blow up pieces on the head. just some more info. I really want to know what these were!

1u11aby1ambie - December 11, 2004 01:08 PM (GMT)
Blow up heads? I don't remember this at all!

Berryblue - December 12, 2004 05:29 PM (GMT)
Wow! The plot thickens...lol These costumes are intriguing. Mike is out right now but I will ask him if he remembers them with blow up heads. *scratching my head* LOL!!
