Title: Pixie Pals??

First of all, hello to everyone on this board since this is my first post!

I am really impressed with how you guys manage to ID and find pics of long forgotten toys, but I have one that might stump you. I grew up in South Africa, so it may be harder to find, but I dont think this was a South African toy because most of our toys came from the US and UK.

I remember they were called "Pixie Pals" They were small dolls that were part human and part animal. They were a lot like Shimmers, except you could remove the bottom animal half to reveal legs underneath. I had a rabbit doll....pink hair with a blue plastic rabbit "bottom" (rabbit legs) There was also a mermaid doll who had yellow hair and I THINK a yellow fish tail. I am 99% sure they were called Pixie Pals, and I have searched high and low on the internet but cannot find anything about them.

Anyone remember these dolls or have pics?

I appreciate the searching you are doing Mary. They were similar to Shimmers....coloured hair and all that, but the difference was that you could remove the animal bottom from them to reveal human legs underneath. I forget what sort of clothes they wore on top, but I am certain they were called Pixie Pals.

:ugh

:party I searched the internet and could not find anything called Pixie Pals. Are you sure that was the name? The only reason I ask is that hence the name "Pixie" those are usually pixie or fairy like in character. That toy does not sound fairy like. I will definately keep my eyes peeled for you. :cookie
