Title: Drag Racing Game?
Description: Looking for...

Greetings everyone. New member, and glad to be here. I'm looking for a toy that's been vexing me at every turn, and I found this site doing a Google search. Good ol' Google! lol

Anyway, I hope I can describe it accurately enough.

This was a drag racing game, and the point was to shift your way through the gears and get as good a time as you could without blowing the engine. It's a handheld game, with a handle on each side - on one side was a button for the "gas" and on the other side was the "clutch" button. I don't even think there was an LCD screen on it, but a series of lights that resembled the "Christmas Tree" that you see at a drag race.

I *thought* it was called "Red Line", but I've done searches for that, and came up empty.

Any insight or resources that you fine folks can point out would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.

Welcome to 80s Toyland!

I did a preliminary search for it, and I found a handheld game made by Kenner called "Redline"... this is probably what you wanted to find.

QUOTE
KENNER: US manufacturer, famous for StarWars toys. Star wars battle command is the only tabletop they made, but they also made a series of electronic LED racing games in the shape of a steering wheel. Most famous is RedLine, but it’s getting more expensive all the time.

Oh wow! Look what a search for "kenner redline game" brought up!
