Title: Barbie Experts!
Description: Need your help IDing this beauty...
Berryblue - September 17, 2004 04:24 PM (GMT)
Looks like a 1990 Teresa headmold to me (she's marked 1990 mattel and I am guessing she is Teresa). I am just wondering EXACTLY which Barbie she is. I am pretty sure this is HER original outfit (it it IS a Barbie outfit with tags and all).
I hate that I can't find a good Barbie IDing site. If you know exactly which Barbie she is, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate your help! :)

wonderberry - September 17, 2004 06:54 PM (GMT)
that is Teresa, the mexican barbie.. although I've never seen her with so much makeup! whew!
berry elvish - September 17, 2004 11:11 PM (GMT)
Erin, could you email me that close up picture? I've been looking at Barbies for a long time today, like for an hour and I have some ideas as to which line that doll might be from, but I need a close up of her face! I swear I need to get my eyes checked!
Berryblue - September 18, 2004 06:49 PM (GMT)
Yep! I am off to forward that pic to you :)
BTW...you are right, she has TONS of makeup on!! LOL
I was thinking that she was Teresa (like as a band member) or maybe even a character from The Rockers or something like that. She is totally decked out as a rockstar. LOL!
berry elvish - October 5, 2004 03:32 PM (GMT)
OMG, Erin. I searched the internet for three days looking for this Barbie and Jon was looking too. Neither of us found her. Have you found her yet? If not, I'm going to have to suggest you pose the question to the many Barbie collectors out there. I really want to know who she is!
Berryblue - October 6, 2004 03:46 PM (GMT)
First off, thank you so much to both you and Jon for looking for me :)
Secondly...
I KNOW!!! Grrr!! She is SO 90s too. She really looks like she belongs in a band or something! LOL I was searching and searching too and I am so frustrasted that there aren't any good Barbie reference sites. Like, take for instance, many other collectible dolls... there are good sites for Strawberry Shortcake for IDing, My Little Pony IDing, Cherry Merry Muffin IDing, Jem IDing...almost every other doll has a good ID site out there, except for Barbie!! <_<
So annoying.
I just wish there was a site that compiled images of Barbies by era, where they listed the year released, the name of that specific Barbie, and listed everything that came with her. UGH!!! I wish I had pictures of some (at least from the 80s). I think that would be a really cool site, don't you?
So, where do you suggest that I ask about her? I really have no idea other than maybe the DollyTime ezboard or the actual message boards on the Barbie official site.
wonderberry - October 6, 2004 07:21 PM (GMT)
wow, sorry Erin, I don't know where to look... with all those avid Barbie collectors, I can't believe they don't have any information sites!
berry elvish - October 6, 2004 09:10 PM (GMT)
It's the face molds site! I love the above site. The face molds, I really learned a lot on that site. If I were you I would actually contact the author of that site. I asked this one SS collector a question about that thing we were trying to figure out what it was on TS, small ss sitting...you know what I mean. anyway, I'm still waiting for her to confirm what I think it is, but she was really nice. I don't know, maybe Dolly Time would be a good place. Those gals are nice, but they don't really seem to be into Barbie as much as they are into Blythe. However, that doesn't mean they don't know who she is. I am really curious too. She looks 90's to me, since according to the head mold id site, that particular head mold came out in 1989.
Berryblue - October 8, 2004 06:37 PM (GMT)
Yep she is definitely 90s since her headmold is marked 1990. So, she was released some time after that...lol
I totally know that site. I actually placed the link on a thread about Barbies when Sara (Starshyne) was trying to get Barbie info. LOL
I think the best bet would be to do as you said, Melanie, and contact the webmaster of that site.
I will have to sit my butt down and write to the owner of that website though...and possibly post a link on Dolly Time to this thread. Maybe that is the best way to go? Somebody has to know something about her! lol
Shellberry Shortcake - January 24, 2005 12:09 AM (GMT)
hey--is she a happenin hair barbie with her hair cut?
I had a doll similar to her-but nude with mega long hair & she was a happenin hair-Theresa I guess her name is...
she looks like she fit's the hair 'themed' dolls--- pretty hair, cutting hair...ones like that.....
Shellberry Shortcake - January 24, 2005 12:12 AM (GMT)
oh--I the is real small--but are they butterfly's in her hair? or just pony-o's?
there was a barbie that came with hair accessorys too--that may be her
Berryblue - January 24, 2005 04:48 PM (GMT)
Here are the pics in a larger version. They were
suppose to be clickable thumbnails! -_-
And her hair doesn't
seem to be cut at all.

Shellberry Shortcake - January 24, 2005 09:09 PM (GMT)
ok--those elastics in her hair make me think she came with a hand held hair twister- or beader
for use with little girls hair too.....
I'm dying to know now if she is a hair barbie--off to search...
Berryblue - January 24, 2005 11:09 PM (GMT)
Thanks Shell!!
I have been stumped on who she is for SOME time now! lol
Shellberry Shortcake - January 25, 2005 12:30 AM (GMT)
a while back I got a pile of barbie dolls & clothes--there was a nude doll in the lot that looked just like her-- & her outfit that she is wearing was in there as well...
There was also some hair doll shampoo stuff ..I got rid of most of that--but have the shampoo stuff and little hair washing thing....
hang on a sec....
ok-crap! no doll 'line' name--just says barbie hair mist..and the other bottle says kenya magic solution.
I'm going nuts now--do you mind if I snag that pic and ask the people in my kelly club who she is????
Berryblue - January 25, 2005 05:31 PM (GMT)
By all means, please do! It's been bugging me not knowing exactly who she is for the longest time now! lol
And thanks a bunch for your help!

Here is a reply I got
| QUOTE |
She's a Teresa, I'm sure of that much. I want to say Rappin' Rockin', but I may be wrong (going by her hair style). She definitely has been redressed in Mattel clothes.

Shellberry Shortcake - January 28, 2005 12:52 AM (GMT)
Erin--I agree

I saw that on amazon...
Mel--I checked ebay too and didn't see her...she must have just been listed... :wave
Berryblue - January 29, 2005 12:02 AM (GMT)
I have seen that outfit too. I am wondering if I saw it around here last summer or on the web? Weird that she wasn't around before, wasn't it?
Shellberry Shortcake - January 29, 2005 05:26 AM (GMT)
