Title: All-time Favorite 80s Character Villain(esse)?
Description: Tell us about your favorite...

Berryblue - September 17, 2004 04:09 PM (GMT)
I think my favorite Villain(esse) was Catra from Princess of Power (She-ra). :)

purplestar - January 6, 2005 11:17 PM (GMT)
I'm leaning toward Gargamel because he was pretty ugly and mean. What the heck did he need Smurfs for anyway? I can't remember. However Megatron was way more dangerous and Skeletor was way more scary.

Berryblue - January 7, 2005 12:31 AM (GMT)
LOL!!! You have cracked me up here! Gargamel was always running around saying that he had to "get those nasty little smurfs" LOL!! What the heck?!
Was it for his potions? I will have to rewatch some episodes...lol

Skeletor was scary indeed! lol Yet now in the new episodes they've made him look kick@$$ but seem a bit more comical.

I like your choices! Very good ones! :D

1u11aby1ambie - January 7, 2005 02:54 PM (GMT)
LOL... I think Gargamel needed the smurfs so he could make gold.

I'm not sure what my fave "evil" villian... maybe the Transformer ones?

wonderberry - January 7, 2005 05:06 PM (GMT)
not to be obsessing with ssc, but I loved purpie and SG. they were so original and cool!

:beer <-- I love this one!!!

Berryblue - January 7, 2005 05:20 PM (GMT)
LOL aren't they cute little emoticons. lol lol :yogurt :ugh :sleep

That is so funny that Gargamel needed the Smurfs to make gold! LOL! I have the image of him all hunched over stirring a pot, snapping a Azrael. lol *I need Smurfs!! Heeheeheeheehahaha!*

Purple Pieman and Sour Grapes are very original. I love how SG sings and how Purpie can't stand her. :D

wonderberry - January 7, 2005 06:16 PM (GMT)
maybe that's what I like about them... that they conflict with each other! and usually foil their evil plans because they can't work together. I do love SGs song and when PPM says, "for I am the peculiar purple pie man of porcupine peak! rat-a-tat..." it's too cute!

purplestar - January 10, 2005 02:52 PM (GMT)
You know, my daughter was watching a SSC episode yesyerday and I was thinking that Sour Grapes is really a lot meaner than Purple Pieman. The episode where Lem n Ada are hiding in a picnic basket and it gets hung up in a dangerous place...anyone remember that?
And needing smurfs for gold is ringing a bell. Yuck. I'd rather have a smurf. And Gargamel was pretty rough on old Azriel...I'm an animal lover and that is just not acceptable!
:wave Is this a "tic tac"?

Berryblue - January 10, 2005 05:09 PM (GMT)
:wave LOL It's rice waving LOL How could you not know that?? LOL!!

I do remember the one where Lem n Ada get accidentally stolen when PPM and SG try to steal SSC's recipe book. lol I thought it was horrifying actually, that they didn't care that the babies were going to fall (towards the end), remember that?

And you are so right. Gargamel was really mean to Azrael. Poor kitty... LOL He kind of reminds me of my cat (who is miserable acting most of the time)

berry elvish - January 11, 2005 07:29 PM (GMT)
I'm still thinking about this one! Mostly when I was a kid my influences were movies and movies, LOL I spent like every weekend at the drive-in and we had hbo, showtime and cinemax...and the disney channel. Plus my mom is a big sci-fi movie buff and I've always loved fantasy movies, like the hobbit and the last unicorn. So, if I have to choose a favorite villian it would be a toss up between Darkness from Legend and The Goblin King from Labyrinth (and Golem was always a creepy character!). :count

Berryblue - January 12, 2005 06:35 PM (GMT)
The Goblin King is probably the *coolest* villain! lol :)

You got me thinking, Melanie, about a movie I used to love and still do called "Time Bandits". Does anyone remember this movie too? It's about a boy who gets sucked into history...visiting these different ages and famous historical figures (like Napoleon and Caesar). He has to keep the "map" from this evil entity or something (can't remember too well...lol) that keeps following him around saying that they want the map...etc... It is a fantasy FOR SURE and I just have always loved it. Maybe some of you have seen it before? (I think it is from the 80s..."present" time is set in England).

purplestar - January 13, 2005 06:28 AM (GMT)
Yes, Time Bandits is familiar. I refer you to another fave website.. www.imdb.com . It is The Internet Movie Database. The best website for movies, actors, directors, everything. If you can't remember a movie title but you know ONE person's name related to it, you can find it. And they have extensive message boards.
:wave Why on earth is rice waving? Rice? Seriously? That is one of the strangest things I have ever heard. Rice. Waving. Very cute , though.

1u11aby1ambie - January 13, 2005 11:03 AM (GMT)
:wave He's a friendly piece of rice? LOL

Some of the characters are really absurb... did you ever think about this guy ==> :beer That's beer-chan... and he's chugging a beer... isn't that almost like cannibalism?? or maybe he *is* what he eats? LOL

berry elvish - January 13, 2005 03:58 PM (GMT)
LOL berry-chan a cannibal!! :afro this is my favorite.

Time Bandits...yep, LOVE IT! The kid goes through his closet to be transported through time with a band of Dwarven bandits, LOL Quite a funny movie and I have not seen it in years! I'm running off to see if I can put it on my Netflix queue.

I subconciously wrote BERRY-chan, I meant BEER-chan!

wonderberry - January 13, 2005 05:31 PM (GMT)
wow, I missed a lot! I LOVE TIME BANDITS!!! I have the whole movie memorized... I swear... I didn't think anyone else had ever heard of it!!
Mom! Dad! it's evil! Don't touch it!! LOL... oh well, that's your money or your life!

 and rice? :wave LOL, I didn't know what it was either! it does look like a tic tac!

The episode where Lem n Ada get kidnapped in the basket (Housewarming Surprise) is my favorite. I especially love the "berry talk" song.
if you want to talk berry.. it's as easy as pie.. saying berry 'stead of merry... you can do it if you try and all PPM's crows come back singing oom-berry-oom-berry ^_^

Berryblue - January 14, 2005 03:49 AM (GMT)
LOL!! OMG I can't believe you guys all knew what the heck Time Bandits was!! It totally sounded like something that you all would know but I too thought I was the only one who would know it! LOL It seems obscure but I just can't get enough of that movie! My God, you guys are all too cool!! :D

I love that little piece of rice that waves! LOL I hadn't a clue as to what it was at first until I saw the filename. LOL! It's definitely a favorite although I DO really love the yogurt guy :yogurt

Joyce, you cracked me up when you mentioned Beer-chan the cannibal!

RollChan1985 - January 30, 2005 09:01 PM (GMT)
