I just joined so I thought I'd post here. I'm known as Moonstar in MLP collecting circles..
Let's see, I was born May 4, 1983, so I guess you could say I got the best of both the 80's and the early 90's in the toys and cartoon sections ^_^ . I live in northern Cali..
I collect mainly My Little Ponies, but also have some Popples, Care Bears, CPKs, Nosey Bear, Pound Puppies, and Bitsy Bears things and just lately, a couple 80's SSC dolls. I would get some JEM dolls but they are so hard to get and I wonld have to be rich to boot -_- /
More than anything though, I love to collect the cartoons I grew up with. Now, if I could only find more old FOX and Nick cartoons. *sigh* I miss the old school Nickelodeon...

Welcome Orangedancer! There are quite a few MLP collectors on this board, so you should feel right at home! I collect Hello Kitty, lambs/sheep, Strawberry Shortcake and Cabbage Patch Kids (a little bit only because I'm finding they are kind of expensive!) I'm wishing I had bought all the Cabbage Patch Kids I originally wanted a few years ago... they are going much higher now & I can't afford them! I have a little bit of MLP & Care Bears.

I'm a 80s/early 90s child myself too. :lol: I was born in 1/1/85 and I love 80s/early
90s cartoons.My favorite toys/cartoons are My Little Pony :mlp ,Glo-Worms,
Rainbow Brite,Strawberry Shortcake,Maple Town,Sylvanian Families,Transformers,
Megaman,Voltron Robotech,Sonic the Hedgehog,Monchhichis,Holly Hobbie and much more.

I agree with you on Nick today.Nick plays crap like Zoey 101,Spongebob,Chalkzone etc.Even toys today just ain't what they used to be too.
I'm very discusted with My Little Pony and Megaman today.Megaman is a Pokemon rip-off as the Ponies are cheaply made today. :hkangry

Remember back in the day when you would watch quality family shows like Full House,Family Matters,etc?.Now it's replaced with teeneybopper garbage like Lizzie McGuire and those trashy talk/court shows (Jerry Springer,Judge Hatchett etc)

Screw the new Millenium,bring back the 80s.LOL :lol:

I miss good ol' Kenan and Kel..Those Drake and Josh guys they have on now are just ripping them off:P. I won't even start with how many shows seem to be trying to copy the Adventures Of Pete and Pete and Clarissa Expains It All..
I sometimes swear if I ever have a kid they will be raised mainly on DVD sets of all the good ol' cartoons and shows I grew up on. Maybe they might grow up *gasp* being nice to people.
Even the cartoon based on toys are'nt that good anymore..have you seen the new SSC and MLP? The horror...

I also love vintage MLPs and SSC primarily but have secondary collections of various others like, Princess of Power (she-ra), Glamour Gals, Care Bears, Holly Hobbie, and Herself the Elf. Although, half of my collection is packed away (like many other collectors here). I need more shelves!! LOL

Welcome to Toyland! I'm semi-new as well. The people here are very nice and make you feel like you've known them for years instead of a few weeks. :)

I got the full of the 80s (born in 79) and the early 90s as well because I'll be a "kid" forever.

I like SSC (boo to the new ones) and Fraggle Rock, among other things.

I mostly collect wonder woman and strawberry shortcake. I have some MLP, carebears, and CPK. I probably have the smallest collection here, but I'm always hoping to expand! :poochie
