Title: Black And Red Robot Animals- Anyone Remember It?

I remember this toy line where the characters were these mechanical robots whose bodies were shaped like animals, and who came in one of two colours, black and red. I think the black robots were supposed to be the good guys, and the red robots the bad guys. I remember that one of the black robots was a gorilla named "Gore", and one of the red robots was a dragon/pterodactyl type creature named something like "The Prince of Darkness."
I think this toy line was Japanese, but I'm not sure. I can't remember what it was called. I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me the name and maybe provide some links on it. Thanks.

No sorry, I don't have any pics. I don't own one of the toys right now.
I remember it was around in the mid to late 80s. Anywhere from 84 to 88.

BTW,I don't think I remember the toyline either,but it sounds really interesting since I collect Japanese Giant Robot Hero toys. :rolleyes:
Did you own the toys when you were little?.The toys didn't transform into anything,right?.

No, the toys didn't transform into anything. They just stayed in one form permanently, animal form.
