Hope everyone has a great time today.

We are going out for brunch with my hubby's whole family to Colasanti's Tropical Garden. It's a greenhouse that is huge and has a restaurant, a mini golf course, an old fashioned candy store, craft supplies, plants (duh, it's a greenhouse!) and best of all...a zoo. Bats and lizards and birds and farm animals and big cats and more. The owner takes in lions and those types of animals that people stupidly got as pets and takes care of them when the idiot owners realize that having a lion for a pet was a bad idea.

It's one of my favourite places around. It's right outside of Leamington ON. If you are ever passing thru, check it out.

How are you celebrating?

We went to my uncle's house for dinner. It was a nice time. Got to hang out with my cousin who's 5 months preggo. She's so dainty and her tummy looks so cute! I couldn't get over it.

Going out to dinner with my gramma who's visiting from California tomorrow. All kinds of family fun.

:D

:bunny Well, Hoppy Easter to you too!

We did the dying of the eggs on Saturday. My kids love that so much. And they also got to fill 40 plastic eggs with jelly beans and tootsie rolls. Mmmm. I filled an additional 40 with Wonka candies, Sweet Tarts and Laffy Taffy. I actually bought the bag for the Nerds, but they wouldn't fit in the plastic eggs so I had to hand those out on Sunday. So, the kids and husband woke up to their baskets artfully displayed and filled with all kinds of goodies, plastic eggs filled with M & Ms to packages of new underwear. :P Then my husband and I hid all 112 eggs and let the kids loose. I think the egg hunt is their favorite part of the day. :D It was super fun and then they spent the rest of the day outside playing and helping Dad move rocks/pebbles into the greenhouse. Mostly the two youngest built 'sand' castles out of the huge mound of topsoil we recently had delivered. LOL Taigan's pretty white SS shirt isn't so white anymore!

It's nice that you two spent time with extended family. :D

That is a beauty of a cake! I'm guessing that you made it, right?

We didn't colour eggs this year bacause I'm the only one that eats them and I can't eat very many hard boiled eggs before they go bad! I don't even really know how long they'll keep after they are cooked? And left out in a basket...? Anyone?

OMG it sounds like everyone had a really nice holiday!
And Joyce!! That cake is just...I have NO words! I am speechless! LOL It is soooo sooo cute. It is good that you got pics of it too. Wow. Just beautiful.

Purplestar, that "restaurant" sounds sooo nice. I bet it would be fun to go there. Maybe we'll stop in sometime if we happen to be in the area. :D

Melanie, that egg hunt sounded like so much fun. I think it would be so much fun just setting all of that up especially the way the kids get so excited about it. I love making people happy. :) That's the best part of creating something or giving a gift. :D

Kalei, it is just great that you were able to hang out with your family. It sounds like you had a pretty relaxing weekend with them. Very cool.

Elia, you got some more Chinese food! YAY!

I am so happy that everyone had a good Easter. We did too. We just relaxed on Sunday and yesterday we were shopping all day with my MIL.
My body is still tired from LITERALLY not sitting for an instant yesterday. LOL I think I sat for 20 minutes total before I went to bed! YIKES!!

Happy belated Easter everyone. I am happy that all went well! :wave :bunny

It must be fun to have kids on these fun "kid-friendly" holidays!

I think eggs are like any cooked food... they should keep in the refrigerator up to like 7 days? Personally, I don't eat anything that's been in the refrigerator more than 4-5 days though.

I am totally with you, Joyce and if it's meat not past 3 days. :)
