Which is better, the oud series, or the new?

I ask because the new series is extremly well written, the characters are more believable than the old, now before I get a huge amount of hate mail, I do like the original series, but galactia 80 destroyed the storyline of the original. I hope that I get some feedback on this, (can't get any feedback from g.i.joe, so maybe this will get some feedback). Let the feedback begin......by your command!

Sniper,

I really enjoy the newest series. I was a fan of the initial series as well (didn't catch the other one.) I agree with you about the characters and the writing. The episodic sub-plots really add to the main story arc of the series. I questioned making Starbuck a female, but I think it adds so much more to the stories now. It seems like every episode has a punch at the end that just draws you back in for more. Of course, the retooling of designs and latest visual effects really help this remake.
It's one show I do not miss weekly. (It plays on Saturday nights on the Space channel here.)

Can't really add too much here because I never saw the old one. I wasn't into sci-fi AT ALL as a kid which is funny because I enjoy it now. I have seen some of the new Battlestar Galactica series and I do agree that it is very well written and the effects are awesome :)
