Title: Tv Show Characters Turned Into Cartoons?
Description: How do you feel about it?

Over the years there have been a number of hit TV shows that have been spun off and transformed into cartoons...for instance, Alf was made into a cartoon after the huge success of the series and shows like Fraggle Rock and Rock n' Wrestling were created after the characters you saw in "live" tv form (Hulk Hogan in the WWF then changed into a cartoon version, etc...). Also, this happened with Punky Brewster who I adored and wanted to be! lol
I remember loving every time Scooby Doo had a celebrity "cartoon" version of a character I liked and saw elsewhere.

I was wondering how you felt about tv show characters that have been transformed into cartoons??

Sometimes I enjoyed the cartoons just as much, but not always. I think you can't go into watching the cartoon expecting it to be the same as a tv series. They don't always capture that special aspect of the tv show.

Ghostbusters! I used to love that cartoon when it first came out but I don't think I could sit through one episode now. lol
Alf always bugged me as a cartoon, I remember but I loved the tv series so I know what you mean about the series have special aspects. As funny as this sounds, there was something "magical" about this brown poofball walking around with humans. LOL

I loved the Ghostbusters cartoon. (If I could I would sit through an entire afternoon or evening of those episodes...mainly to tick BerryBlue off! lol payback for the land of Shortcake in the house. lol)
When I was a kid, I loved seeing cartoons based on a live-action series. A great example was the very short lived Dukes of Hazard animated series.
Another decent example was Gilligan's Planet. I know plenty of these series didn't have the actual actors for the voice work, but hey it gave me an early morning fix of actual series.
