Just watched the GI Joe: The Movie this morning and thought I'd share that with you.
I did enjoy the show. It's always cool to sit down and catch almost two hours of Joe cartoons. It was a nice touch hearing Sgt. Slaughter actually voice the character.
Was there a follow up cartoon to it? We never see Duke come out of his coma?
What happened to Cobra Commander at the end? Last I saw, he slipped away in snake form.

To answer your question about what happened after g.i.joe the movie.

Well, the movie was the last for the animation company sunbow (they had animated joe since 83, there was talk for a 3rd season for g.i.joe, but alas it never happened with sunbow, but not all was lost, sunbow gave up the animation rights to dic) the first "dic" 5 part series roughly takes place a year after g.i.joe the movie, it's title was "opertation Dragonfire" This was a great mini-series with a few suprises, for example cobra commander is brought back to semi-human form and voiced again by original actor chris latta, sgt. slaughter is voiced by himself, and there are new faces, new enemies, new dangers. If you would like a copy of operation dragonfire though it's pretty hard to come by, but luclily for you I have the entire run of both sunbow g.i.joe and dic g.i.joe episodes on vhs. I highly recammend dragonfire.
