Title: Wonder Woman Movie In The Works Too!

Croww - February 27, 2005 09:11 PM (GMT)
Here's the latest on this movie project:

The New York Post is rumormongering about the pride of Themyscria. "'Wonder Woman' finally got the green light. A movie version of the comic-book character has been buzzed about for a year, and now spies say Warner Bros. has finally told producer Joel Silver to go ahead with the project. Silver is said to already be in negotiations with 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' writer Joss Whedon to pen the script and is looking at Kim Basinger and Jessica Biehl for the title role. 'Kim would be used if Wonder Woman is older, Jessica is if she's younger,' the insider added. Warner didn't return calls." We will note that the Post misspelled the name of "Blade: Trinity" actress Jessica Biel, not us, so perhaps this should be taken with several pounds of salt.

I'm sure some of you will enjoy this tidbit.

Wonderberry would like that berry much. :yogurt

I usually love comics made into movies. I think this could be good. Kim or Jessica seem like decent choices but it sure is hard to get Lynda Carter out of my head. :wave

The movie sounds awesome... I love superhero movies!

I am a huge WW fan too and cannot wait to see this movie a reality. I have been waiting for years!
I am just giddy over this news :party :party

I've heard rumors of the movie... but didn't know they were finally deciding on it! I'm super happy about that!!! I don't like their choices though! I think Catherine Zeta-Jones would be great... she's so pretty, and actually brunette! I don't know... Kim and Jessica just don't seem like they can be "tough" to me... especially Jessica... she's more happy go lucky than tough. :( I don't know... maybe it's just the lasso talking. :smurfywink

btw, I've been gone too long... I log on, and see all this wonder woman talk! it's great!!

LOL! Welcome back! Post when you can... We have missed you!!
I also think that Catherine Zeta-Jones would be a perfect Diana. I remember the rumors with her name attached to the project a year or two ago. Jennifer Connelly wouldn't be too bad either. I know I remember thinking of someone who would be PERFECT but I can't remember offhand now...hmmm...I'll have to come back when I remember... *sigh* I feel old...lol

wonderberry - March 1, 2005 01:33 PM (GMT)
yeah, Jennifer Connelly wouldn't be bad! LOL... I drew a blank too trying to think of some good actresses for wonder woman.
thanks for the welcome back, btw! :beer

see? she's perfect IMO

Wow, Cindie! Where did you get that picture? I think she looks fantastic! I'd like to see a mock up of Jennifer Connelly too!

I hope that Kim Basinger is NOT Diana! I'm not sure who the other person you all are talking about is, so I'll have to look her up.

Great news about the movie. I tend to have to see all comic book related movies as well. :)

I take back what I said about Kim or Jessica...Zeta Jones is perfect. Shes gorgeous and she has done some "action" type stuff in Entrapment. Connelly would be good too. Good thinking!

Berryblue - March 2, 2005 06:09 PM (GMT)
That is funny that you mentioned Entrapment because that is exactly when I thought she'd make a good WW. I was actually sitting in the theater watching that movie and thought that!! LOL!!

Thanks for posting that pic, Cindie! She really *is* perfect. I say Zeta-Jones or Connelly :D

2nd choice... I still think Catherine is better

Berryblue - March 4, 2005 08:45 PM (GMT)
Me too. I think Catherine is perfect and Connelly is 2nd best :D
Thanks for posting. It's fun to think of who would fit the role :)

wonderberry - March 13, 2005 03:07 PM (GMT)
Connelly is doing a new scary movie called Dark Water (I think). it looks good! after watching the preview, I thought... yeah, she would be good as ww. :P

Berryblue - March 14, 2005 01:42 AM (GMT)
I will have to look that one up. I love horror movies. :D I think we already went over this once before though... :ha
There's a few good horror movies coming out. We saw Be Cool last weekend (which I thought was really good btw) and they played a preview for the new Amityville Horror movie coming out. I look forward to seeing that one.

wonderberry - March 16, 2005 09:44 PM (GMT)

kimba10uk - March 31, 2005 04:13 PM (GMT)
it was in a uk magazine the xena actress lucy lawless, was on there list to play wonder woman.

:gnight

Berryblue - March 31, 2005 04:55 PM (GMT)
Lucy Lawless would make a good Wonder Woman too. I still think I'd like to see Catherine Zeta-Jones the best though.

And Amityville is coming out sooooon!! April 15th!
