Hi 80's fans,

I guess I've been offline awhile now, but I have been busy stockpiling joes, (hasbro announced that the joe line as us 80's fans is history) but all is not lost, this fall on fox an all new g.i.joe animated series will debut!!!!, followed by the new g.i.joe sigma six toyline, these new figures will cost 14.99 ea, and will be 8 inches tall. I've been reeling from shock, My wife(wildfire) has been very supportive, but for me this news is joeicide!!!!! I hope to hear your comments, even the goofy ones. I also have some mp3 80's cartoon theme songs of strawberry shortcake, mask, and of course g.i.joe.. if anyone wants some to listen and bask in 80's heaven, please pm or e-mail me at wmcclo@aol.com and I will be happy to share these.

Sniper........Out!!!

Do you know if the new series has any of the old Joe characters or is it new entirely? I don't know how much the old GI Joes cost, but $14.99 for an 8" figure seems expensive!! Hope it comes with a lot of accessories!

Yes, I agree. It does seem awfully costly. It would be cool if they packaged them with mini comics even or something.
I remember loving the old 80s GI Joe cartoon. I used to play with my little brother's figures too when he wasn't (shhhh...don't tell anyone *wink wink*)
I know I will catch the new cartoon this fall, since my hubby (croww) will definitely want to see it. :D
Thanks for the info, Sniper :wave

The toys for sigma 6 (the new g.i.joe line) can be found at the website
toy news international

I am organizing fellow collectors to buy as much of the 3.75 line now before these go the wayside, I need as many collectors on board to buy as many as they can afford, hasbro thinks the fans have lost interest, I don't want to see these great toys from my childhood retired, and replaced, if any of you can, please buy, put them up and charish them, they are a part of 80's america, to not buy them would be criminal.

I hope that some of you will buy these 3.75 line before it's too late (ladies, think if they were going to retire rainbow brite, or mlp, or strqwberry shortcake, it would be the same for you, please buy at least one from the major retailers!!!!!

Sniper.......Down, but not out!!!!

Hey Sniper,

the local WalMart has a few deluxe sets. I'll take a look and pick up a couple.
I gotta support your cause since my fave toyline was obliterated last year.
