Because I got selected as a juror in a 2nd degree murder trial. That's all I can say. In Canada it is illegal to discuss the case even after it is over. So I'll be gone all day and at night I have to do my usual around the house stuff, play with Cassie and walk the dog. But I will still be checking out the messages and posting a bit if I'm still awake!
It is a very interesting process...not at all like on TV. It's my second time as a juror. I actually don't mind. You should hear some excuses people come up with to get out of it. One lady announced to the entire courtroom that she has Irritable Bowel Syndrome so she needs to have access to a bathroom whenever she wants. It may have been true, but did she really need to tell all of us?!

Being on a jury is very interesting, somewhat boring at times and it's becoming clearer ever day how important this is.
We are lucky to live in countries where you have juries available...and of course for a million other reasons.
I have to go to Toronto this weekend to pick up some stereo equipment so I won't be around much then either.
When am I supposed to do the laundry???? :P
