There was a set of building blocks, not legos in any form. The blocks came with a screwdriver and you could turn the screw and latch them together. There is a picture of one of the blocks here:

We will have to look around for you. You know, I think my younger brothers may have had these blocks. I remember the use of a screwdriver it seems.

here. Most of them look like the Erector Sets though.
