I have news.....news that will shock everyone of you red blooded joe collectors out there devil's due the comic company is axeing the g.i.joe reloaded series, and they've already killed off characters in the ongoing series (the baroness, dead, flash, dead, mainframe, dead, big boa, dead, wraith dead) now I read josh blaylock's interview about "shakeups", and I respect the writing that goes into planning each issue, but there are some paths that shouldn't be crossed, Gen. hawk replaced by Gen. rey (hey here's a spoiler for you croww.....Gen. rey is.......SERPENTOR)!!!!!!! Also on the horizion, a new threat, even more dangerous than cobra, one more patient and more dangerous.....The RED Shadows. (fun-fact....in the early 80's before england got g.i.joe they had action force (even after they recieved the licence they kept the name action force, but the big news on that is the enemies to action force were called......The Red Shadows....Hmmmmm?????

Also Hasbro may bring M.A.S.K. back to the toy isle, (this year's con exclusive 15 figure set is called m.a.r.s. mayhem insues.....and the new gen for destro's army is gen. mayhem (miles Mayhem)!!!!!! I would love to hear from you 80's fanacticts, lmk what you think.

Sniper......Out!!!!

Since no one has replied, I thought I would. Wouldn't want you to think we're ignoring you!
I guess not many of us follow GI Joe :( Sorry.
I understand how you feel, though. Some things should be left as they are.

I loved the GI Joe cartoons as a kid... but I don't really follow the comics. I always thought it was funny that both sides shoot all these lasers but never hit anyone!

Sorry Sniper, I've been swamped here.
Great update on all things Joe.
I just got my hands on some MASK episodes. I watched one to refresh my memory on the characters. Man... the dubbing was brutal on those episodes. LOL

Very cool info. Thanks Sniper.

Well, rest assured, if no one replies you can bet that their are guests reading your updates so I say post no matter what!
Right now there aren't many active members that are interested in GI Joe but that certainly doesn't mean that your info isn't valued or being looked at by Joe fans in cyberspace :D

Thanks once again for enriching our community :wave

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and Girls......The beginning of the end is here for My Real American Hero, Hasbro has announced it's big plans for the fall of 2005, G.I.Joe will change its current format.....The good news is in the same announcement hasbro said that there will be a new weekly animated g.i.joe series, complete with a new line of figures to go with the show, the name of this series is g.i.joe-Sigma Six the bad news.....the current size figures are 3.75 inches tall this format has been around since 82 (lots of cool history with this ) but the new line that debuts this fall will be 8 inches tall, for pics of these new toys (and for new strawberry shortcake toys ) you can find them at toy news international the website

I am sadened by this news, I own over 2,000 g.i.joe and cobra figures, from 82-pres. The new figures look like they stepped off the screen of the movie Small Soldiers (They do) Even My spouse- the ever awesome "Wildfire" is sadened, she said it won't be the same for her to collect her toys and go toy shopping without me looking for the joes. (I will be buying these however for our son) Bu t all is not lost, My local news station will be running a week long segment about g.i.joe (thanks in part to me, but enough about this, I bid you all good evening ladies and gends........It's been a pleasure!!!!!! Yo-Joe!!!!

Hey Sniper,

sorry to hear about the GI Joe toyline. At the very least, you'll the animated series to look forward to.
I can completely relate since the Masters of the Universe toyline was cancelled last year, as well as the comic series, AND the cartoon. Mattel really dropped the ball on that revised line.
