Here's the latest on the GI Joe movie.
The following has been posted on Superherohype.com and Comicbookresources.com:
"February 01, 2005 - IGN FilmForce has learned that screenwriters David Elliot and Paul Lovett are now onboard the big-screen version of G.I. Joe. Lorenzo Di Bonaventura is producing the live-action feature for Paramount Pictures.

Elliot and Lovett scripted Four Brothers, which Di Bonaventura is producing for Paramount. That John Singleton-directed drama is now filming with Mark Wahlberg, Tyrese, Andre 3000 and Garrett Hedlund starring.

IGNFF had recently heard that Joe might be going the comedic route but the source of our Elliot/Lovett scoop advised us that the project is not a comedy.

Di Bonaventura's office refused any comment on Joe and the writers' reps at CAA did not respond to our inquiries for confirmation."

Hello 80's fans, Sniper's here (wildfire's husband to you ladies, just thought I'd join)
I can't hardly wait for this movie to be made, I'm looking forward to watching a live-action version of THe Real American Hero!!

If anyone on here wants to talk joe, I would love to hear your thoughts, but any hate bashing and mlp gets it while the berry has to watch (lol)! Seriously if you're a joe fan I'd love to hear from you, and my wife(wildfire) is saying hello to all her friends out there watching my post.

well can I just start by saying it is GREAT to see men on the board... especially supportive husbands!!

well, I think it would be great to have a GI Joe movie!!! But I wouldn't like it if it were comical... it would make for a great action movie. I don't think Mark Wahlberg would be good though! he's too "young" looking... they need someone who looks more like a man. someone who looks like they could actually do some physical harm! :lites

Wow!! This would be really interesting... but I don't know how a live-action GI Joe movie would work... would it seem too much like a war movie? But, I'd love to see everyone up there on the screen! oh! I didn't know there was a Greatest American Hero movie!
