You're getting really close Shell!!! I noticed 2 days ago that you were about to pass me!! :exercise

What is really cool about this board is that you can see someone's average posts per day... Shell... you are at 28.1 posts/day!!!!

Holy Cow, Shell!! I don't post that much, really. I am no competition for you, dear.

hey, since this is 'my' thread and all...Shell, are you really going to the Strawberry Patch Convention? :D :ssc

Shellberry Shortcake - February 3, 2005 08:48 PM (GMT)
watch out girls! here I come....

woo hoo

Hey Mel--I'm not sure if I'm *allowed* to go or not....since Christina bounced me out of both email groups-I never tried to join them again- I may just bid on 2 tickets on ebay..... (whistle whistle)

1u11aby1ambie - February 3, 2005 09:41 PM (GMT)
Can't someone just like buy "extra" tickets and pass them onto you Shell? I wish there was a cheap walk-in price... with no convention packet, etc. It seems like the convention is organized more like a "meeting" that you'd go on for a business trip... where you'd have to order food for a certain # of people, etc... and not so much like regular conventions.

berry elvish - February 4, 2005 03:17 PM (GMT)
I've been to a Star Trek Convention, Joyce and the Strawberry Patch convention is just like a seminar or meeting compared to that (It wasn't all that big). I'm going to the Dragon*Con this year too and it is so huge and there is so much going on at once that you really have to pick and choose the things you want to do. It lasts three days, I think. That reminds me of Disneyland, if you go there for only like 6 hours in the summer, you really have to pick and choose what you want to do because there is no way to do it all. But, if you go in the off-season you can do everything and some things twice. :D :party

Hmmm, I wouldn't know if Christina won't let you buy tickets, she's always really nice to me. I really don't see how she can stop you from going. You don't have to be a member of the patch to buy your tickets, do you? Right, and if you win them on eBay it is a contract and she has to sell them to you. She may not sell them on eBay this year though because there will be so many more people at the Convention than last year. I mean only me and Amy from TS went last year and now look, there're at least ten people going this year. And I do believe that more people from the Patch will be there too. And lots of kids, I think. I'm assuming that the raffles are going to be a lot harder to win this year. :goof :ahoy

Shellberry Shortcake - February 4, 2005 08:01 PM (GMT)
well--I'm going to send her an email to see.
from what I gather so few people showed up last year that she lost money...
so I'm sure my money will be just as good as anyones, lol

yes Mel--I believe you do have to be a member of either the patch or the convention group-she kicked me out of both...

:wave

Berryblue - February 4, 2005 08:04 PM (GMT)
Wow that's weird. If you don't mind me asking, why did she kick you out of both? Were the reasons valid? *shrug*

And man, I am so psyched FOR you Melanie about the Dragon*Con
You definitely have to take some pics and share! It sounds like so much fun! :D
