Title: My Mlp Collection

purplestar - January 29, 2005 07:10 PM (GMT)
I'm going to try to put a pic in, It didn't work last night, though. Anyways, its not the entire collection, I couldn't fit the top shelf in the photo.
To collect them all I'd need a whole room of shelves.
I'm not a picky collector and I don't have any really expensive or rare ones but i don't care. I think they are all beautiful. And my daughter and I can actually play with them.

It looks like a pretty nice collection!! You have a lot of baby ponies? They look so cute!!

purplestar - January 30, 2005 01:55 PM (GMT)
Yes the second shelf from the top is all baby ponies. I really love the teeny ones, newborns I think they call them. Not a huge fan of the beddy bye eyes because they seem to rust easily and it's kinda creepy when one eye opens and the other won't. Reminds me of those kind of dolls which remonds me of a scary Twilight Zone episode about a doll that comes alive and does very bad things. I think her name was Tina. I am not a doll person. I prefer plush animals!
And I see the pic didn't completely load...figures. I tried about 10 times and kept getting a " page not found" error thing. i hate that page

Ack! My message didn't post and I lost it!

Anyway, I think only the 2 shelves show up in the pic. But the baby ponies are so cute! I love them!!

I think I saw that Twilight Zone! I never watch anything scary, but I was flipping through the channels and it was on. I watched like 5 minutes before I freaked out and turned off the tv. Was it about a little girl who had a barbie-like collection of dolls... the case wasn't locked and the "tina" doll got out? And Tina was jealous and did bad stuff??

omg--I never saw that show..thank goodness...
:wave

where is your pic hosted at? maybe I can help you out with getting on correctly

lmk..

Berryblue - January 31, 2005 05:34 PM (GMT)
LOL I seem to recall that episode too now that you mention it! I had totally forgotten about it! :ha
That one was creeeeepy!
The one that always creeps me out...even to this day, mind you, is the one of "shadowman" who lives under your bed. He'll never harm the person who's bed he lives under. lol

Minty was my first, so she's a fave...
Glory because I love dark purple...
TAF Dancing Butterflies is a beauty, I have 2!...
A few of my customs are favourites of course :P

Ack! You're making want to go out and find some of the vintage ponies!! I want to get some of the Rainbow ponies... I love the matching pony "family" that I see on that first shelf! It looks so cute!!

Berryblue - February 2, 2005 12:07 AM (GMT)
Cool! Thanks for posting that!

I have always loved Glory too. I have a love for white ponies, it seems (even the new ones) :)

And dark purple is soooo pretty. It's actually the color of my bathroom. :D

what a cute collection! when I was a kid I had Moondancer, Starshine, Parasol and Baby Blossom... so I only wanted those... I now have them all except Parasol... I'm still looking for her. Seeing your collection makes me want to buy many many more than what I had as a child though!!!!! Thanks for posting the pic! :beer

Cool collection! :) Looks like Blossom yelled "dogpile!". LOL Crazy lil' Blossom! She was my 1st ever pony. (Besides the brown My Pretty Pony.)

Berryblue - February 25, 2005 05:47 PM (GMT)
LOL My first pony was Blossom too!
I remember seeing my cousin's My Pretty Pony before I got her though.
It kind of reminded of the horse from Kit n' Caboodle... anyone remember her?

1u11aby1ambie - February 25, 2005 10:38 PM (GMT)
I don't remember that horse... but I thought Kit N Caboodle was the name of those vanity cases that were popular for girls?

purplestar - February 27, 2005 05:35 PM (GMT)
The vanity cases were simply "caboodles". My sister had a few, and "sassaby's" also...same type of thing.
I don't remember Kit n Caboodle, though.

Berryblue - February 28, 2005 11:24 PM (GMT)
Kit n' Caboodle was a doll that rode a horse (the horse was about the same size as My Pretty Pony too so it was a fairly good size) if I remember correctly.

AND Woohoo! I just found a link to show you! (I am not going crazy! LOL!)

That's a berry huge MLP collection.I used to have the same amount of ponies when I was little in the 80s. :grover

:gnight

purplestar - March 1, 2005 01:11 PM (GMT)
I checked out the link but I still don't remember them. My daughter thought they were really cute.
It's amazing what memories come back when you're on these boards!

purplestar - March 3, 2005 09:27 PM (GMT)
I just got a Cutesaurus from the thrift store. its a year 6 MLP friend, baby dinosaur. I am so happy. It was in a bag with a ratty Bluebelle. I tried to stay away from the "friends" because they get to be expensive (hard to find). Now I will really have to control myself <_< .
RollChan, if only you still had all your ponies!!!
