I KNOW!! Little girls just love her though. I was in TRU last week and some little girl...couldn't have been older than five...drug her mom over the the PP aisle, okay so it is the SS and mlp aisle too  , and she was saying how this new theme was out and she wanted that specific one. They all look the SAME to me!

Oh, sorry, Shell, I have no idea what is rare and what isn't...but speaking of tiny toys gotta go post about some....

My daughter and I are loving Polly. She prefers the big ones, fashion polly...I like the tiny ones. There is an AWESOME website called Only Polly Pocket that has a great id guide and the lady that runs it knows a lot. I tried to put a link in, but it's about 100 characters long, so maybe you could just do a search! I go there all the time because I always find Polly's at the thrift store. I try to complete the sets...it's not as hard as it seems. It passes the time...and $$$.
And I don't know for a fact, but I'd guess they made her bigger for safety reasons. Some kid probably choked on one or something. Don't people know thoys are for grownups???

lol! I wondered why she went from tiny to large too but I can imagine that it was because it was safer to go larger. Although, I am sure they had age restrictions on the teeny ones.

I have no idea what Pollys are more rare than others but I do see the small and large sets alike at yard sales in the summer. I am always tempted to buy the smaller sets. :ha

thanks for replying girls--I figured they went larger because of the choking hazard....

I have a tiny CUTE playset that I want to list on ebay--I was wondering if it's a rare one (tiny compact -castle inside that lights up) :wave

I was just on "only polly pocket" and the Children's hospital is for sale for $125.00. That's the most expensive I've ever seen so I guess that one is rare!!

Is the site this one? www.onlypollypocket.com ?

purplestar - February 2, 2005 02:53 AM (GMT)
Yes that's it! Apparently it's really not 100 characters long? What was I looking at?
Not important now. Its a very valuable site for me.
I use it about once a week.

OMG,I so totally agree with you mary about the bigger Polly Pockets. The new ones are so lame and make little girls want to grow up faster. <_<

The old skool (tiny Polly) versions are the best.Emily and I used to have alot of compact version.Speaking of which,a few weeks ago when I was cleaning up my basement,I found loads and loads of compact Polly Pockets. We had the whole Pollyville set which is a set full of houses and restaurants. :P

Anyone remember Mighy Max which was the boys version of Polly Pocket?.Here's a link to help you with the memory.

Mighty Max

Those were the days.
