I have a question about a vintage ssc toybox. : I found it at a small flea market and just had to buy it..I have been unable to find out anything about it,but for anyone else here's a discription:it's mostly white, has pics of ssc and apple dumpling, it has two sliding red doors with the abc's on them,an open shelf in the middle, and another shelf with two more sliding red doors on top.I'd say it's more of a hutch.I don't know. ;) I've never seen on before now.Has anyone else?Is it rare?If I can i'll have my hubby try to take a pic to show everyone(I have no idea how the camera woks) Thanks :bbm
:hkhappy

Wow! I can't wait to see your picture. It sounds really cute. I tend to believe that getting any SSC child sized furniture is rare since a lot of it gets discarded over the years so CONGRATS to you!! :D
I am so excited :hkhappy

Oh wow!! That is awesome!! What a steal! Congrats again... I bet some of our other SSC enthusiasts may be able to help out.
Shell may know... or Melanie... ? I haven't gotten into the furniture at all so I'm not sure what is rarer than others.

I'm not into the furniture that much either but for the price I could't beat it.Right now it has my collection drapped all over it.So I'm glad Ibought it.It holds quite a bit. :ssc

Wow!! I think that's a great price for that... especially since you didn't have to pay for shipping, which I suspect could be quite costly!
You could check out
Mary's site... she has a page for the child-size furniture & you could probably find more info from there.

:D I was going to post a link to Mary's site too, Joyce. And even though I don't think
Stacey has that particular child sized furniture piece, she does have some and she displays her dollies in it quite nicely.

Mary was the first person I thought of but I didn't know her new site's URL. I knew one of you girls would know it so I wasn't worried :)
Again, Congrats on that find. It is so cool! :hkhappy

That is awesome!
I checked out "Mary's" stuff...I have never seen any of these items before. You are so lucky to have found your toybox. Yard sales are so much fun, I can't believe what some people don't want. That's the only downside to winter, no yard sales, but at least there are thrift stores.
Co
Congrats on an excellent find.
OOps, I just realized it was a flea market find. I have never been to one. I seriously think my town stinks. The closest one I know of is about 3 hours away.

There aren't any flea markets here either and the ones they call "flea markets" aren't. lol They end up being a place where stores send their old stock to so there's no chance of finding anything vintage. lol
I hate winter for the fact that there aren't any yard sales so I can completely relate, purplestar. Yard sales usually are pretty good here. It'll be interesting to see what comes up this summer. :D

Well, I live in the heart of hickville  (the country)It doesn't matter if it's rain, snow or whatever, people are always having yard sales here.I've found lots of cool things at them.I am not that far from alot of bigger cities and everyone of them has flea markets or thrift stores.I could walk to 2 differ ones from my house.I guess where I live people just like to sell all their old things.I found a huge lot of ssc dolls and misc. things at one.I put a deposit on it but unfortunatly I got cheated out of it.The actual owner of the lot moved and took the lot.I didn't even get my money back.(It was a consignment shop)I liked the store ,they had alot of other things I wanted, but I won't go back there. : :hkangry
