wow, this took me forever to remember these... I had to sit here and relive my childhood!!! LOL then when I'd remember one, I'd start singing the song to it... and I couldn't think of anything else, cause that would be stuck in my head. And my husband is giving me grief asking how I can remember these songs.. LOL

I miss the original Masters of the Universe. I wanted to be Teela so badly.
Was Land of the Lost in the 80's or 70's? I mean the original one. I liked that a lot, too.
Then there was Superfriends. I love the Wonder Twins....activate...form of a glacier...shape of a rhinoceros...remember them?
Thank goodness for Boomerang channel...they have some oldies but goodies on occassionally.

I'm a stay at home mom also and I watch tons of cartoons with my daughter. I know people think too much TV is bad, but some days you just want to sit. At least I know what she's watching!

The Littles
Oh, this was my absolute favorite...this and Super Friends. The Littles always made me think of my Barbies coming to life or what it would be like to be the size of a Barbie and wear all her clothes and push around in her car. :D

I totally forgot about this!! I loved this too!!!
I loved Super Friends too and the wonder twins were awesome! Of course, my favorite was Wonder Woman. :D I wanted to be her and Daisy Duke at that point. LOL
Sheesh...makes me think of when a grown up would ask you what you wanted to be when you grew up... I actually remember wanting to be a cheerleader! LOL LOL Like that was an occupation that you could live off of! Ohhhh boy....
wonderberry - January 21, 2005 10:15 PM (GMT)
The Land Of the Lost that I used to watch... the original one.. was a tv show, not a cartoon... I don't remember seeing the cartoon... but I loved the actual show... I'd watch it everyday before school, and I would always miss the bus because of it. My mom would get mad. I was in 3rd grade.
I can't find any of these cartoons still on here!! I have still been looking for the Smurfs... I'd love to see the Snorks again! it's just no fair... I have satellite TV... so what is it good for if I'm not getting the good stuff? :ernie
Berryblue - January 22, 2005 12:07 AM (GMT)
Woah! You have satellite and you can't get any of them? :( That is so sad and infuriating at the same time!
I swear, Fox has bought the rights to The Smurfs because they play it at different times throughout the week, depending on which affiliate you have.
I would love to see The Snorks and some of those other shows that air on The Cartoon Network.
I forgot to add that I used to LOVE Heathcliff too! lol That was always on really early though and I was psyched to see it on.
Also, there was this weird show called "The Saturday Showboat" that I used to love. I don't know if it was a regional thing though that aired just for the Syracuse area or what but I remember loving that! It was the very first show that would come on and begin the whole morning. It wasn't really a "cartoon" though. It was more like how Mr. Rogers was with people and puppets and things. :)

Some ppl on this board misses the Berenstein Bears.
On UPN 38 Boston in Summer 2004,they brought back the Berenstein Bears for an
hour on Sunday mornings at 9 am.It was sooo cool that I got to see the again.
PBS made a new Berenstein Bears cartoon. It's good like the old one.Check your local listings. :afro
Now UPN 38 took it off their air.
:hkhappy
Berryblue - January 22, 2005 08:09 PM (GMT)
Treehouse TV in Canada airs The Berenstein Bears. The show was made by the Canadian company, Nelvana. I did also see that they are on PBS too. I am not sure if the show on Treehouse is older or newer but my assumption is that it is new.
