I'm the newest member of this great chat. My name is Jamie and my favorite 80's toyline is strawberry shortcake. :ssc I have 4 children all of which love 80's toys as well. My 8yr old son likes turtles and g.i.joes, 3 and 2 yr old girls like care bears :carebear and my little pony. Even my 9mth old girl likes care bears. :)
My husband is also an 80's fan. He collects g.i.joes. :wub: i'm now pregnant with #5 :cheesecake and can probably guess that he/she will be a fan as well. well now you all know a little about me and my family hope to chat with everyone soon . :lol:

Welcome Jamie! That's awesome that your kids like 80's toys! It must be so great to have that in common with them. No one in my family "collects" anything, so I don't feel they understand me!

oh yes,having 4 kids is great.My girls and I have alot in common. It's cool because they chose there own toys. It was only when they got into them that I actually got back into collecting.on there own my girls chose the old fashion toys. It's funny in a world where barbie and brats rule that they chose the toys mommy grew up on.They don't even like barbie dolls.I bought them some even a house. they kicked barbie out and moved care bears and my little pony in.My husband and son have the same toys in common to.So it works out for all of us. :P

Anyway, 5 kids!!!!!! All under 8 yrs old.wow. You must have the patience if a saint. I don't suppose you have time for any pets? I have 2 kids and a million animals...the animals are soooo much easier. I'm a wimp!

:wave That's funny about your kids kicking Barbie out of her home. My cousins had a ton of Barbies too & the house/car, etc. I had 1 Barbie. I like the 80s toys better than Barbie... more innocent and imaginative, I think! My fave 80's toys were my Cabbage Patch Kids. I still love them!

My nervs do get rattled at times having 4 kids and one on the way but I still make time for myself. Right now all of them have colds so it's kind of hecktic.But after they have gone to bed, I usually put my headphones on and relax. Yes, I do have a pet (dog).He's a baby too. :lol: I'm hoping to get a kitten for my girls. They love cats. I'm a huge pet fan.I usually have several pets but we moved into a place where we couldn't have pets. Now we've moved into a house and as soon as we put up a fence I 'll probably get a few more. :DI had a few cpk's myself. I saw one at walmart right before christmas that had a ssc outfit on.I would have bought it but I was shopping for my kids and I had a budget.when I went back it was gone. It was sooo cute. :hksad I really wanted it.well,I have to go for now my baby girl is getting tired and will not go to sleep unless I rock her(she is so spoiled).She doesn't even sleep in her bed. she sleeps in mine. :sleep

LOL... Yes, I'm the resident CPK freak... but I've only bought 1 new one!! BUT, I think I need to be like 10x more obsessed than a regular person because the Asian ones are so much harder to find! Hopefully, I'll get my Asian cornsilk & they won't keep making MORE cute ones that I NEED to have! :lol: Anyway, I wanted that Strawberry outfit too, but gave up finding my Asian doll in that... it was just too hard to do (unless from ebay, of course).

Yep, been working in the county jail over 5 years now. I'm working in booking now, and it's interesting cause I get to see all the drunks and mental people before they come down off their drugs... (and take a shower... pee-yoo!) I could tell you some pretty funny stories!

Working in a jail must be cool. :P I was actually getting ready to join our sheriff department when I found out about # 4. :o i've always wanted to be a cop.After #3 I had my tubes tied ,cut burned and ringed.I didn't want anymore kids(of course you can tell it didn't work) :lol: I was in the middle of a divorce :( and wanted a change in my life.So I started working out with other cops ,jogging,shooting range ,the whole nine yards.Then I met my new husband. :wub: He wasn't to thrilled with the idea of me being a cop, : :angry: but he knew it was something I had to do .Then #4.I was so shocked I cried for a week. :( He of course was thrilled. :D I'd still love to join but know it will not happen.It's ok thought,I'm happy. :) My little girl makes up for that lose :wub: do you have plans to be a cop or are you happy doing what you do? :unsure:
