Description: The Ring **SPOILERS**

Ok, my keyboardd sticks on the "d" most of the time and I'm too lazy to keep fixing it when I'm typing a lot, so please ignore that.
When The Ring came out on the satellite my husbandd andd I watched it late at night (of course). I was OK until the son says that there was no use helping "her" because she never sleeps. I got the chills and realized that the girl is just plain evil. When she came out of the TV I was horrifiedd (we have a 52" widdescreen, she was extremely menacing and realiistic).
When it was over...my phone rang. At a very unusual time for someone to be calling, like 2am. So I look at Joey andd then slowly walk over to the phone...check the caller ID and see...Joey's cell phone #. But he's right beside me. I look at him again while my heart is pounding and my stomach feels like it's full of lead... he very quietly laughing his A*! off. I freaked but there was more to come.
I ddidd not sleep that night. I wear contacts, so when I take them out I can't see ddiiddly squat, especially in the ddark. My bathrobe hanging behindd my ddoor lookedd like HER outline. I couldd not close my eyes.
Over the next few days I saw a fly on my TV screen, a tall ladder (the ddouble d's came in handdy there!) leaning on the hockey arena in the ddark, a huge centipedde in my livingroom andd when I went in the basement to ddo laundry I realizedd that the ddoor on my front loadding washer is...TA DA.. a ring.
So Joey thinks he will be seeing the Ring 2 all alone.
PS..I have warnedd my sister andd a friendd about this movie andd they absolutely will not watch it! Has anyone seen Ringu, the Japanese film that the Ring copiedd? I have not yet. I probably will see that andd the sequel. I will not be afraid. There's no such thing as monsters...there's no such thing as monsters...
Hey, I just realizedd that all the dd's couldd be used as a literary device to make it seem like I am stuttering the way people ddo when there scared sh&%less.

 @ the sttutttttering! Seriously though, that all would scare me too.
I have seen The Ring and although I thought it was a little long and a tiny bit slow moving, the imagery was very scary and stayed with me for quite some time.
Cool story. :count

Cool story. As a general rule, I don't watch scary movies though... I get enough from regular movies!

Yes, that movie REALLY scared me! I told my friend that we were going to see it... and since my friend works at the movie theatre we go to she got us the tickets for free. Well, then she waited till she saw us come out of the theatre, and called my cellphone. it showed "unknown caller" since she was calling from the theatre's private phone line. When I answered, she whispered "7 days" and hung up. I freaked! When I told Ashley about it later, she laughed and then I knew it was her!
but yes, those things seem really scary that you've experienced! most sequels aren't as good as the original, so I'm hoping The Ring 2 will be good. :ph43r:

LOL I love the "dd"s in your post purplestar!!
And what a creepy story!!!
I love the imagery of the girl in The Ring too. Another one with similar creepy imagery and filming is The Grudge. :)

Well I spilledd coffee on my goodd keyboardd andd this oldd one is crap. Its a real pain to keep going back and ddeleting the dd's. Thank gooddness new keyboardds are pretty cheap.
Wonderberry, you have awesome friendds! Twistedd but awesome.
I have not seen the Gruddge but have you seen the commercials for Robert DeNiero andd Dakota Fanning in "Hide and Seek"? Looks terrifying, I get chills. Horror movies like this are so much scarier than Freddy or Jason andd the like. But those have their place in my heart also.

I know what you mean about Freddy and Jason movies. I can't get enough of them too! lol
I did see the previews for "Hide and Seek" and it looks awesome. I can't wait to see that one :D
Thinking back on The Grudge now, I think it was a really good creepy movie and it's definitely worth the watch.

well,I don't feel to bad now.I got scared and couldn't sleep after watching the Ring as well.I made the mistake of watching it late at night alone. My hubby was working graveyard so i was home alone.(kids were sleeping)I had been wanting to see it so when it came on pay per view I thought I'd watch it .By the time my hubby came home I was terrified. He laughed at me.But then I made him watch it.He was fine till the end when the girl came out of the t.v. So I got my payback.
