Title: Why No Tea 'n' Honey?

purplestar - January 6, 2005 11:30 PM (GMT)
OK, the title says it all. I know i've seen her in at least one SSC cartoon. Why is there no Tea n Honey doll? Wasn't she a scientist? She could have a pet named Crumpet the Swan!

LOL! I love it! That would be so funny!

I know a few collectors have created custom Tea n' Honey dolls. I, myself, did a reroot and added glasses to create her. The person I did it for already had an outfit made by someone else but she needed her hair rerooted and new glasses. Check out my link to my custom section: http://www.geocities.com/berryblues_cove/customs2.html

I'd love a Tea N Honey doll, since I'm a scientist! Sometimes custom dolls are more fun though. That'd be a great name for a pet!!

I love the reroot and glasses you added to your TNH! I had forgotten all about that! cause I asked you a long time ago if you could make one for me, and you said to let you know... and I forgot! next month when I get paid again... I may commission you to make one for me! I do have an extra doll to use. I know Adline makes a cute TNH outfit... do you make outfits?

I always wished they did make a doll of her. she's so cute!

I think making my own is a great idea. I do ponies, so I guess I could try SSC too. I'm really curious as to why Kenner didn't make her. Very mysterious. :ph43r:

Cindie, yep I can do a reroot and glasses for you for sure. I am going to be starting another custom outfit for "melicam" soon...very soon. If I got all the right fabric I could make you an outfit for TnH but it would take me a while (being that I have to make another one first). If you don't mind waiting a bit, I can do the outfit...no problem there. :) Just LMK ...

And purplestar, you SHOULD try SSC dolls too sometime. I have been wanting to customize some other dolls too, like Rainbow Brite ones :D

Tea n Honey looks sooo cute.Do you have any clothes for it?.

Didn't you use the vintage Butter Cookie doll for the custom?.

Whenever you have a loose My Little Pony or Strawberry Shoercake doll, use them for customs. B)

The Tea n Honey custom that I made was done for someone who already had an outfit for her. She just wanted her doll to have a reroot and new glasses so I did that for her.

The doll used was a Lemon Meringue, btw. :)

And yes I do use MANY extras that I have for customs. Either that, or I fix them up to their original condition. :D

I ordered an old blueberry muffin to make a tnh doll. I have hair on the way and I know where I can get glasses, so I'm off to a good start.
This will be fun. I do ponies all the time, so I should be OK. Ha! We shall see.
I love Berryblue's custom. Excellent job.

Thanks

She is adorable.I wonder why they didn't make a doll of her. :ssc

Well I checked out Adline's customs...they are beautiful. I asked her to make me an outfit for TnH and she accepted!!! I am so happy. I know that I could never make anything that looked good enough, I only use needles for removing splinters.
Somewhere on these boards she has a link to her site and I recommend everyone check it out.
I'm going to have to make a website.

I got my Tea n Honey outfit in the mail today. I am opening it right this second....
She put a really sweet card inside, but on to the outfit!

It is so adorable! So tiny, I don't know how adult human hands can do this!
I just have to reroot BBM and I will be done! I get by with a little help from my friends. So true.

Adline you are an angel. She even made little glasses :D

This is Tea n Honey. In her wheelbarrow is a jar of honey, some gardening supplies and a bee. Her swan is Crumpet...being British and tea time and all that
Thanks to Adline for EVERYTHING!!!!

This is my Raisin Cane. I know she's supposed to look more bratty but I like her like this, looks can be deceiving after all!

This is Kiwi Smoothie, a BOY! And his Koala is a little shy, named Mate. Or maybe Eucalyptus. He need some shoes and socks.

So cute!!!! Great job on your customs... did you do the outfits for the others yourself?

purplestar - April 19, 2005 01:07 AM (GMT)
HA! I wish. I bought some "Tommy" clothes for Kiwi and I stole some dress off some no name doll and dyed it for Raisin.
The Kelly and Tommy clothes fit perfectly, so I'm on the lookout at the thrift stores and yard sales. I can't sew at all.
I just recently met one of my neighbours and she is very slightly mentally challenged. She sewed her own prom dress and it looked great. I'm going to show her some tiny clothes and ask her if she thinks she could copy them with different material. She could earn some of her own money that way. I know she wants to buy some scrapbooking materials, so this would be great for both of us.

They look really cute!! Tiny clothes are harder to make than big clothes... I think they have to be hand-sewn!

RollChan1985 - April 19, 2005 10:51 AM (GMT)
Berry cute. :bbm :ssc
