Title: What Are These Bears? By Lanard

I have these bears and I cannot find any info about them. Anyone know what they are? I'm calling them "hair bears" because the name suits them. I want to sell them but I'd like to know what the heck they are first.

are they the gummy bears, maybe?

I'm not sure either... I was thinking gummi bears too. Or maybe "paw paws"? (Although I don't really remember how either of these look)

Well, Lanard usually made generic versions of name brand toys, as far as I know. Not that they aren't cute!

It seems that there was some kind of cute critters with hair made by mattel or hasbro or kenner...and these were/are generics of those, but I can't remember much. I bet Erin would know!

No, they are not gummy bears. I used to watch that a lot. I had forgotten about them! These bears are all pretty much the same, except for colour. Well, whatever they are, they are cute. But, I have no room for every toy! Someday I will have a huge room with beautiful displays of all my precious things and no dust!

I am betting they are just generics as Melanie had thought. Lanard is guilty of this all too often.

They looks like a cross between Care Bear (poseable cousins) and Blinkins (with the hair like that) to me.

And boy do I understand the idea of not having room for everything. I swear everyone I am going to start some major cleaning this January. I need to unload some of this clutter! lol

These were from 1984. I'm sure they are just generic, so Hair Bears it what they will be called. They are cute, and they all used to have aprons on. I don't remember any other accessories but a comb would make sense. It's like I have the only ones in existence because I cannot find anything about them. Or nobody cares for them! Poor things. I even put them up on ebay, but nobody really looked at them. Oh well, I guess they can live in a box for a little longer. Maybe someday their identity will be revealed in a dream.
And my hubby fixed the good keyboard so no more dddddddd's!

doesn't lanyard have a website?
I wonder if they would be on there <_<

purplestar - January 24, 2005 02:30 PM (GMT)
Well, Lanard has a site, but nothing about these.
They have been sold to Rollchan1985 and I'm sure they will have a good home. Now i can buy more ponies and SSC!There was one for sale on 80'stoysale but it took batteries I think and was more colourful. Cute, though.
