I found a massive collection at a garage sale for a $1 and I want to know whats known about them..what were they actually called?

i still have my whole collection from the 80's when I was a kid....they are on my chinese jumprope. The only thing I knew them as were "charms" or clip on charms. :ssc

I also think they were just called "charms," ie charm necklaces.

They didn't have an official name back then. They were made by several different companies. You could get them at $1 stores or in 25 cent vending machines. I got a lot of mine by playing skee-ball at the boardwalk arcade and turning in my tickets. ^_^
