hello -- thanks for reading -- there's a couple things i've been trying to remember -- and they may seem very simple to you -- if so, sorry!

1. it was a toy somewhat like colorforms, if i recall. except you'd get a sheet that had different things all over it that you could add to the scenery by scratching the certain "thing" with a pencil. i cannot think of the name....!!!!

2. there were these puzzles that had virtually every character from the given theme -- there was a looney tunes one, a disney one, and something else?? i'm guessing there were at least 500 pieces per puzzle -- i remember the packground in all of them was yellow (almost positive). the box was a big thick square.

3. this would be a really hard one -- but, there was a children's book in the mid-eighties that had beautiful illustrations -- it was about, i think, three giants -- it was cute, neat little stories -- but the pictures are what i remember loving. i got a "three giants" book off of ebay, but it was some old book that wasn't even close.

thanks for your time in reading this, and if anybody has any info to help, i love you for it!!!

The first one is soooo intriguing. It sounds like something that I would've adored. Do you remember what part of the 80s most of the things you are describing are from? The earlier 80s or later?

I will look around and see if I can find anything remotely close to any of them. I hope someone out there knows right off for you :D

Welcome to the 80s Toyland, Mike! It's very nice to meet you :D

:elf Was the first one called Cartoon Magic by Colorforms? Or possibly Rub N' Play transfers from Colorforms. I use to have some Rub N' Play and you basically ran your pencil over the picture to "transfer" it onto paper, background, etc. The Cartoon Magic is virtually the same thing. You can find both on ebay if that is what you are looking for. :) :ernie

I haven't a clue about the second 2 things, but the first one does sound like a rub-on transfer type toy!
